My mother can no longer get on line using fast4 / biscit, she has found a pay as you go dial number supplied when she joined fast4/biscit dial up to use if she had connection problems, she is using this to find another dial up supplier (I’m going to try and persuade her to get a broadband supplier) the number is 0845 120 7961.

To be on the safe side she is sending a letter to her bank to cancel her direct debit to fast4 /biscit

Yes, V21 dead as a dodo since yesterday afternoon!! As expected!

I decided to go Tesco Broadband as of yesterday and now have to pay dial-up until my new service is active, value package £13.97, which is fine for me.

Good luck to all fellow "sufferers" hope you find a better service than we have had for many months.

V21 dial-up is not dead! I am using one of the alternative numbers 0808 9933127. Response time is brilliant but then I am one of the few using it.

I have only just found out that I am likely to be cut off at any moment but I have a pay as you go dialup provider as backup when it happens. I suppose I should be looking to move to broadband but where? I've heard BT provide a reliable service.

New to this forum, but have been reading it for while now - brother is with flexi-surf and friend is with v21. Both having all the problems here, so good to know they are not alone!
Will this 0808 9933127 number work for flexi-surf too? Very disappointed for them both as they are lite users and everything was great until recently - excellent value for money. Neither were notified of the takeover by biscit - found that out by browsing this forum.

Also is Fast4 part of the biscit group - I'm a bit confused about that.
And my brother is still having payments to flexi-surf taken off, so does anyone have a contact address so he can cancel. I can't get on to their website today.
Thanks in advance, and I'll be a frequent visitor to this site.
  • I signed up a couple of days ago with Fast4, dial-up £7.99 package; all seems OK.

DD form available on their site.

I am on PAYG at the moment because my connection to Fast4/V21/Biscit...etc has gone kaput, can't get websites. I have been thinking, I was originally with Fast 4 then was shuffled along a line of ISP's all of which took the monthly connection fee from my CC, is this legal, I only gave Fast 4 permission to take money each month ... not only that ... Fast 4 is still operating and in fact my e-mail account is being served by them, this is a farce, it's all a set up to get peeps to either pack it all in with this lot or re-sign with Fast 4 at the higher monthly rate. With all the changes that has been made the dial up numbers never changed and the e-mail settings never changed ... it's my bet Fast4/V21/Biscit etc... are all under the one umbrella.

Edit. Around 11pm got back online with my ISP (whoever it is now) Both numbers 08089933025 and 0809933127 were not working for hours, usually at least one of them does but not earlier tonight. My e-mail account has stopped sending mail now as well as recieving, (at the moment.)
  • The *****3127 dial-up number has nothing to do with Biscit/V21.
It's a dial-up number for BT network. It will also work with ANY username and ANY password.

That may be so, I don't really know but I've never paid anything for using it, it's free. :D

I was away last week but today I too signed up with Fast4 £7-99 a month unlimited.
I was with them for three years `til the Biscit/V21/Breathe fiasco.

Best and cheapest dial-up package around.
