Fast4 and V21 as far as I`m concerned were OK companies `til Biscit came on the scene.
Fast4 is still run by the same people who ran it `til Biscit interfered.

There`s no way Breathe are going to offer a dial-up at £4-99.

    .

It does look like this is the case.....

"Anytime - £4.99 per month with our Bronze Mail package.
With this package, you can dial any time day or night, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are no download limits or restrictions. There is a one-off set-up fee of £7.99 and you will have access to our Bronze mail services. That's it!"

This is from http://www.breatheinternet.com/biscitdial . This seems to be exclusively for Biscit/V21 ex-customers, because elsewhere in the site the price is £7.99 flat rate.........

    http://breatheinternet.com/connect

    "Breathe Dial Anytime
Enjoy the complete freedom of surfing the Internet at any time of the night or day without having to worry about your phone bill.

Browse, email, chat, play games - the choice is yours, all for one low flat monthly fee of £7.99 with no hidden charges.

Get 5 email accounts with 200Mb of storage, Spam controls and Address Book free!"

My own view on this is merely, I wish someone would write and tell me, just for once!

Edit. The http://www.breatheinternet.com/biscitdial link has since disappeared

Have just got off the phone with Breathe.... I've been told that Breathe will have all Biscit and V21 customers account details by Wednesday afternoon.

I wonder if we'll be chased up for those few months we got free?

So the situation is, we're still in the sh*t.

I'm now resigned to the fact that I won't see any refund, because Breathe are not liable.
However what about my cancellation form which was sent to Biscit about 12 days ago?
Has anyone on dialup successfully cancelled recently?
    Move along, nothing to see.

    Oh bother, bother, bother.......

The server responded with an error. Account: xxxxx, Server: 'mail.speed-mail.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90
  • Has anybody signed up with Fast4 recently and, if so, are you getting good connections and service?

I'm looking for dial-up and was going to go with Primus. But they don't now offer a dial-up service. Their web site say's they do but their sales guy on their 0800 number say's they don't.

Sent my cancellation weeks ago and still nothing.

NO chance of getting one now! Hmm, that's a point, I wonder if Breathe will consider me one of theirs, ie inherited from bis*it... :wall:

All you guys (and gals?) please do consider even a half way decent BB package 'cos I can almost promise that you'll never look back!

Hi Bigted - I doubt you even have that option - the biscit staff are long gone by now...

Looks like the Breathe deal is dead:

At this point I think it's just a case of clawing back whatever money you can and start using a yahoo/google mail account
