    Hi Everyone

Just found time to get on here today. Back on a late shift and I got in late too!! Thought I deserved it after my double shift yesterday. We're being filmed today for some odd reason

Colleague bought me a bottle of coke, so there's some extra cash for the pin collection:money:

My evening appointment's been cancelled, so I can actually have a rest this evening, which will be nice.

    Hope everyone's ok

is that lemon drizzle cake on the index thread? if not could you tell me which daily thread its on - i would like to try that!

Hi, Shez! This was the lemon drizzle recipe that I posted (3rd one down) - it's lovely. Think Snowy tried it, too, and liked it.

Had a short day at w*** today (don't usually do Thursday), but I need extra hours so that I can take half term off. I'm now home to cook and bake before the children are home, and Flylkady my kitchen. DS put in a request for lemon cake, so that's sorted!

I'm going to get some fruit from the freezer to make jam and chutney tomorrow.

    Hiya All

Lovely day here in Essex was a bit cold first thing but sun has been out all day and its quite warm. Has dried up the garden quite a bit which is good news as oh is doing some decking out there at the mo.

Had bit of a long chat with some of the mums at the school gates this morning and got home too late to do anything before the riding lesson. The lesson was brilliant and really enjoyed riding again. Was trotting most of the time and I couldnt beleive how puffed out I got so looks like its going to be brilliant exercise as well. Have booked again for next week and just going to look online this eve for some jodhpurs and boots. Downside is that I walked like I was still on a horse for some time and just know I wont be able to walk at all tomm and saturday!

Came home had a shower, hoovered house put marinade on chicken and washed kitchen & utility floors. Put ironing in a nice neat pile so will attack that later.

Off now as just received a call from DD as she has missed the school bus - kids who'd have em!

Afternoon everyone :hello: ................... Please forgive me but formatting has gone again at work. .................. This week is lurching from bad to downright awful. I thought that I'd got some of it sorted out and I was almost happy ;) for 1.5 days. That was until we had a staff meeting last night and we were told that HMI are coming to visit us next Wednesday and Thursday  This is our first one since we went into Special Measures in March and the first one since we got our new (v scary) head in September. As 5 of us have had poor observations this term (though we are a little dubious behind the motive to why they were poor) and the other 5 have only been mildly better then it's back to sleepless nights until they've gone . It didn't help last night when DH decided that with his "man flu" he'd snore for the whole night, which meant that I had approx 1hr sleep................................................... My class are also being little demons. We drew up this class code of conduct on Monday, along with the head as they were really getting to me. Today, on a count up, 13 had broken the code of conduct, 10 hadn't and 3 were away . However, there is a treat in store for those children who have been well behaved..................... Because of HMI visiting next week, I'm having to cancel my trip to a friend's hen party in Oxford. I'm really disappointed to be missing it, but I'll get to go to her wedding in a fortnight. At least I'll save £50 that I would have spent there!.......................... I will leave my tedious post as it all seems to be about work ................... Supper tonight is going to be a chicken stir fry with plenty of veggies. Supper last night was a very OS fish and chips from the chippy.................. Take care all. Vicky

Hello all *waves* hugs and good wishes!

Kiwi it is SO TRUE that you only learn to drive once you've passed!

My WM seems to be on constantly at the moment, that's what comes of having a Boy move in with you it seems! What a gorgeous day, have risked putting the airer outside (I say risked as sometimes it can fall over!)

Already had the DW on and it is just waiting to be unloaded. Been to Tooting today to get some cheap bits (8 pomegranates for a pound, excellent, who says London is expensive!) Also looked for some new knee high boots as my old ones have gone green from when I was flooded (tried to dry them out to no avail it would seem) but I didn't like any of the cheap ones, they were horrible. I think they might have been a false economy if you know what I mean...so I left them.

I love going in the Asian shops though cos it is all really cheap - so much cheaper than the supermarkets for stuff like lentils, pitta bread etc.

Also got my eyebrows threaded for a bargainous £3, they look lovely now :) As good as when in my pre moneysaving days I paid a disgusting amount to have them done in a hip "eyebrow bar" in harrods...erm, anyway..!

Can't believe my week off is nearly over!

Well it's just after 2am here and I've had to get up. My throat is killing and I keep coughing which is disturbing DGS. Just gargled, took some panadol & sucking a lozenge so hopefully I can get back to sleep. Also have pains in tummy. I wonder what that could be. :D Ooooh lucky me.

VickyA You seem to having an awful trot atm. It must be awful. I hope DH doesn't snore so much tonight and you can get a decent sleep.

Better go as I hear DGS crying. Good one.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
