    Morning all.

It's just got a whole lot more chaotic here in the FS household.

A while back The OH and I moved into the box room, to let all the Children have our big room, and save us from sleeping on sofa bed when they all come over. We have a Kingsize bed, and needless to say, there was not a lot of room , so i managed to get a double bed from freecycle yesterday.

So overnight , I now have a dismantled KS bed, all the stuff that was under the bed:o and 2 kittens and a puppy, all over the house.

I'm just sitting here wondering where to start, as the whole bungalow seems to have been affected!

Oh well, i'm sure by tomorrow, it will all look better:confused:

Hope everyone's day is a lot nicer than mine is looking.

    Hi All,
lovely day here, I'm looking out at the river - which has risen a couple of foot overnight - 40 miles away there were floods, but all we got was a light shower?

Anyhow plan for today is to finish hanging curtains - I am definitely going to shorten those that need it, rather than tucking them behind the radiator as we did all last year  .

I've already posted a request on freecycle for a walking frame for MIL, if I can save her £100 she'd be as happy as Larry, and I know she's still feeling very depressed that we know she was conned out of money. You don't lose your pride just because everything else starts to fail!

Had an awful veg box delivered yesterday, so I phoned and complained. They bought me another - insisting I keep the original too. This means that we've so much veg, my plans for dinners for the next few nights have to change. Tonight I think a green bean and bacon dish I do (Greekish, and very tasty) - and tomorrow, maybe a veg bake........?? And then there's this whole b****y marrow - chutney?

And I really must get my head around that new project!

    Back to the grindstone.

    Morning everyone :)

We slept in here, as oh was away he wasn't about to get us up at 7am so we we up at 7.45, it doesn't matter too much and the children are now dressed and fed and packed lunch is done.

Oh looks like his job contract is about to finish, he works on short term contracts but this one has lasted for over a year he thinks he will be out the door in the next month which is a shame as it tends to take him an extra month + to find new work. We have been saving really hard and now we will probably have to dip into our savings to cover things. We desperately want to go to Oz but initially decided to stay here for 3 years and save as much as we could, I now just want to go next summer as the waiting and instability is making us all miserable. We are talking about this tonight so fingers crossed.

Os wise I need to give the house a good tidy, dinner tonight is beef stew and roasties that was already made on sunday.

    Have a good day :)

    Good morning everyone!

Looks like a lovely day in London, blue skies and sunshine so far. My car is in for its service and MOT today, so I'm stuck at home for a while. (DH dropped it off on his way to work) Perhaps I should use the opportunity to get on with lots of housework? Or maybe I shouldn't:rotfl:

One washload is ready for the line and the second lot is in now. At least it should get dry outdoors today.

Kiwi, you'll soon get used to your car and will be swanning around like you've done it forever!! :D (but I'm very glad I don't live near you, for the time being!!! I can beat you though, I got caught on something, and when I reversed off, had to use so much accelerator, I went straight back into a wall!! Cue one VERY damaged car:o )

Going to make a potato, onion and bacon bake for tonight's dinner, and might make an apple cobbler too. Wow, that's the first time I've ever published a meal plan!!! Don't usually decide until much later in the day.

Going to have a quick look round, then I must crack on.

    Hope your day's go well,

    CMx

PS Good luck for the hospital later PP

haven't been able to get on for a while (w*** has been v busy) but thought I could squeeze in a quick visit before I start this morning. Hope everyone is OK? Made some everyday biscuits from the freezer batch yesterday (thanks Queenie!) and they've all gone this morning - very very yummy.

WM on with second load, and first one is in the TD :o
We had roast chicken last night, so I've got the bones/remains to go inthe SC, so I think that's a soup, unless I can come up with something a bit more exciting - suggestions, anyone? :p

    hugs

PP - Good luck at the hospital - I've got an appointment myself today, not quite sure what they want to do/say but it's all to do with a ovarian cyst...hoping they won't say "whip it out" - hope they do say "not causing any probs - you can still conceive"....we shall see.

Feeling very de-motivated too at the moment - about to loose one of my little ones - off to full time nursery now she's old enough for a free place, means even more money lost. Car failed it's MOT yesterday too, something to do with the immisions, need a new sensor (they think) which is £120, if it's not that then it will have to be a main dealer repair.....car's not worth much as it is, so we need to seriously think about looking for a new one if that's the case....but where do you start.....DH is not mechanically minded.

Brekkie today was shop bought bread toast (forgot to make any yesterday)
    Lunch is chicken salad wraps
Dinner is - not sure - depends what time we get back from the hospital - could be chicken stir fry or could be beans on toast.

Will get my backside into gear and get some washing going - buidlers have arrived and they're stripping back the roof so it's very noisy here this morning, think I may just go and walk from one end of the village to another just to escape.

Hope you all have a great day.

Well, I am very excited today - posted my first ever book on Amazon and it sold within hours!! Off to the Post office today to get it on its way! So a few quid in the Jan coffers is a start!

Made a Lemon Drizzle cake last night for the girls at w**k. We are all feeling stressed and overworked, so wanted to cheer them up. Thanks for the recipe whoever posted it - really simple and looks absolutely scrummy!!

Made a bacon and egg pie with the ham off the bone that I made soup with. Soup in the fridge for DH when he gets back from London tonight. He rides to and from London on his (motor)bike so lots of moneysaving but I am concerned about the wear and tear on him..... Its over 300 miles each way:eek:

Not so moneysaving for me tonight. We are off to a Seaham Hall Spa with a few of the other girls for a pamper evening - one of our number has a birthday, so we are treating her. Will have to sell a few more books to pay for this one :o

Have a great day, especially if you are mopping up after yesterday!!
