  • Morning all! This is the last day of my w***ing week, Hurrah! I've w***ed 3 days this week to get some hours in so that I can have half-term week off. Where has the time gone, it seems like they've only just gone back, and are now breaking up again!

Singing tonight, so a bit of relaxation there.

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning all!!

Not as wet here as yesterday! Kids footy match was called off, but had a lovley birthday tea, and friends came round to sing `happy birthday` to ds1 and we ate lots of cake, the last of which iv just put in lunch boxes for a treat!

Staying at DD nursery this morning for a new course they are running about better ways to communicate with your kids, have a feeling it will be a load of rubbish, but thought id go and see what i think!!!

Iv found over the years the best way to communicate with the kids is threaten to take away the ps2 pocket money ect lol.

Need to sort out fridge and freezer today, plan to use up everything before i shop again.

Hope you all have a lovley day and big hugs to everyone who needs one!!

Ugh - W**k for me today. Im now in a thoroughly bad mood - which flaming sadist decided that people should get up in the dark to go and toil for someone else??!!!

Ive been awake half the night stressing, I do this most of the time before w**k. When I reduced my hours some fool decided that I should also be moved to another branch and I didnt think it would be this awful, all the other recent changes at w**k on top also have just put the icing on the stress cake and the panic attacks are reappearing.

The urge to find a new job just took a turn for slightly more urgent.... Thank god im off nearly all of next week!

Whinge over - managed to get a lot done yesterday, have cut all the peices of fabric ready to be sewn together, i just need to find a decent fabric marker as the pencil I have isnt really effective on stretchy material! My dining table is coming today too, so its a good job bloke is off work to be here for it.

On that note, im off for a quick browse - have a lovely day all!

    Morning all,
Just contemplating what to make for kids breakfast.....think I'll do scrambled eggs for the boys and baked beans for dd.
Lunch will be a sandwich of some kind and fruit and supper was going to be fish cakes but I can't be bothered with them today so I think I'll do Mexican Chili Beans from the More With Less cookbook (pg 100;) ) and baked spud.

Does anyone know why Tuesday's thread disappeared ?

    Morning Old Stylers :hello:

Looks like the day here will be dry so I've got my 2nd load on the go in the WM at the mo. TONS more to do though, I'd say at least 4 more loads and some hand washing so thats my job for today.

Well, I picked up my car yesterday and successfully drove it home from the dealer in Buckingham. I was nervy about being alone in the car, I've had 50+ lessons after all with someone always next to me. I think following DH made it easier.

I did however have an "incident" later in the day when going out on my own for the first time. I had promised DD that I would pick her up from ballet cause she missed out on coming to pick up the car. I drove along nicely (and slowly) and found what looked a nice space to park. Went into said space VERY slowly, left foot down on clutch, right hovering over what i *thought* was the brake.................you can tell where this is going cant you????????? Needless to say, when I got to what I thought was the right point I put my foot on the *brake* to come to a stop only to find the *brake* was the accelerator . Cue me shooting forward 2ft and ending up ON TOP OF a small tree stump. Horrible crunching noise! I reversed off said stump and the whole front bumber came off my lovely new car . Bit of gentle persuasion (should read *bending/banging/pushing *) later and its back on but with a tiny bit not clicked in. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Have gotten over it now, which is just as well as have to go into Leighton BUzzard today!!! With DD2 in the car!!!! Will be going VERY S L O W L Y until I have found a shop that sells big P plates so everyone knows to stay back

Hope thats given a few of you an early morning giggle :p

I'm off now to make brekkie for sprogs and myself. I'll post back later to let you know how Leighton survived my visit - LOL.

Love to all feeling under the weather or having a rough time generally.

  • Morning Guys!

    Hope you are all well.

Pretty restless night and have another appointment at Kings this afternoon-so fingers x'd that this one goes ok. Thanks for all the lovely replies/PM's yesterday....I've had a good cry and am thinking more positive now:D

WM is on, DW has been emptied and the toilet cleaned.

We have PTA tonight, so DD is going to BIL's to stay there whilst we go. Her parents evening is next Wednesday....thats when we get to meet all the teachers:rolleyes: OH has offered his services looking after the second hand uniform shop-its 2 hrs a month....but we can get first dibs at the uniform;) :D When he went last week, some of the uniform was disgusting so OH has offered to take a couple of washloads home a week so at least they will sell better and make more money for the PA.

Got up earlier this morning and cooked us all a mini breakfast. Did a large sausage each (posh 89% meat ones-Paul Rankin-chef?) an egg and some baked beans...with toast and tea of course. It was lovely and we all didnt realise how hungry we were.

OH is getting on with the wardrobe he has started and reckons it will be done by lunchtime.....yeah right! We shall see:rotfl: He's also dropping the ironing at SIL's as she has the lurgy and not been able to get here this week:eek:

Anyway, Id better go and sort DD/OH out. Hugs to all.

Breakie: Sausage, egg, beans and toast
Lunch: Baked Spud, ham and coleslaw
Dinner: Toad In hole, Roasts, brocolli and carrots

    Good morning everyone,

Didnt sleep well (not unusual there) but normally i feel alright, but today i feel like im on auto pilot!!! Hope to snap out of it soon tho!!!!
2 Little ones here today, although one is at nursery this morning. Have already put last nights dishes away (i really need to get my DW fixed, i hate not having it!!!) and put the WM on, so now im having a browse before the first one gets here.
Remembered DDs speach therapy yesterday, and she did really well, so finally feel that we are getting somewhere.
Right, better do something, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

DW empty. Need to take some washing out of the machine & put it into the TD & put another load on.

Need to pop to work this morning & mayaswell go to MrT as work is next to MrT.

Need to clean out the fridges today & sort them & the freezer & do an inventory, based on that I can see if I need to do a shop home delivery.

Still have NOT put the heating on! :D

    breakfast: cereal

    lunch: soup

dinner: stir fry veggie noodles (DH can have steak with his!)

Better go & get the kids dressed for school. And myself I guess ;)

    have a good day all
