  • G'Morning BertieMeldrew and all who follow.

I've been lurking for a while on the Daily Thread, so I thought I'd join in today.

DH has left for w*rk and DS1 & DD2 are still in bed, dogs are in the garden so I have a couple of minutes to myself.

Kitchen is still a bombsite from last night. First job will be unloading and reloading WM and DW. The crock from the SC needs a good scrub - DH didn't switch it off   before he took out the last of the rice pudding. Slow Cooked Lemon Chicken for tea tonight, so I can't put off the dirty deed for too long.:D

I think I'll take the dogs to the park today as I can reward myself with a nice frothy coffee at the open air cafe afterwards. Hope the weather improves though.

DS1 has just surfaced to tell me we are out of milk. Doh! Bad Mummy!! Sausage, beans and toast have been requested as a susbstitute for cornflakes ( ) so I'd best press on.

    Have a good day everyone.

PS Making sense at this time of the morning is VERY difficult!

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

Morning Bertiemeldrew and all that follow,
can't believe their are so few posts at this hour.
Kids had me up at 6am:eek:  I am one of those people who need my 8 hours sleep, so I will be shattered all day.
Poppong round to a friends for coffee this morning, then hoping to get up the allotment, not sure how easy that will be with the 2 littlens , but I will give it ago. Need to send a letter to the council to get permission for a shed, so I can keep some tools up their, it's not going to be easy getting them and the wheel barrow up there.
H/m pizza yesturday was yummy, used up the last of the roast chicken and fresh pineapple for topping.
Tonight I will be doing a chili.
Waiting for my 50 packs of seeds to arrive off ebay and my azada you can get them here http://www.get-digging.co.uk/tools.htm I was recommended by my auntie who lives in Greece to get one , she said the aunties use one on the garden and is 10 times easier than a spade, It's not cheap , but should last years, I would rather spend a bit more money on decent tools than have to buy new ones every year, I learnt this lesson with a cheap rake, it broke after 3 months I had only used it 3 or 4 times:rolleyes:
Not much planned for the weekend , except more time down the allotment.
    Hugs to all

  • Morning Guys!

    Another bad night:rolleyes:

WM has been on and finished...just waiting for lovely OH to hang out or put on airer. Cleaner here today, so beds have been stripped by DD & OH and fresh bedding put out.

OH & I went to the PA meeting last night:D There were only about 20 other members:eek: OH was given the key for the secondhand uniform room and has 2 hrs a month to run it. Most of it needs to be run through the WM and definitely needs some organising....which I can help with:p

OH & I are going for a drive today and will take a packed lunch and flask of coffee.

    Breakie: Tea and biccies
    Lunch: Sarnies
Dinner: Chilli, rice and garlic bread

    Hugs to all.

    :hello: Morning all,
Misty here in Worcester this morning.

Have to do a bit of shopping today, might go to Waitrose and the farmshop.
My menu plan for the week has deviated (as it always does), need something quick to put together this evening so I think pasta and meatballs will fit the bill as I have all the components in the freezer/cupboard.

Breakfast is going to be toasted muffins (English ones) with honey/quince jelly/starwberry jam.

    Not sure about lunch yet.

Edit: where did the thanks button go??

    Mornin all!

Wow - its Friday at last. I have to w**k today and tomorrow and then im off for nearly a whole week, 'just a day and a half to go' shall be todays mantra.

My dining table arrived yesterday and its beautiful! Im in love with it already. The chairs come today and other half is under strict instructions not to open any packaging till i get home so I can immediately cover them with sticky paws to teach the cat not to scratch £500 worth of leather dining chairs.

Yesterday was ok when I finally managed to get myself to work (bus didnt show!) - it went fairly quickly even though the first customer of the day was an utter pain in the backside (awful witch of a woman!).

Im hoping today goes as quickly anyway. One of my colleagues had good news anyway, she is currently 4 months pregnant and her first set of scans and tests went really well which was really nice, she has been having awful morning sickness so its about time she had something happy to report!

Anyway - i dont want to miss the bus again so im off for a shower - hope you all hava a lovely day!

    Jo xx

Hi, Frey! Piece of advice on the tool front - for spade and fork, I'd definitely invest in stainless steel. They're more pricey, but don't rust, and are much easier to use - the dirt slips off them!

Mrs Mix, your family are really in the wars! Hope you all get better soon.

I have a load of Freecycled stuff going today, then a pile of clothes to the charity shop tomorrow, so we're slowly making space in our house. I'm taking DD charity shop shopping tomorrow so that her allowance can stretch further. She can't wait!

    Have a great day, all!
