If it helps - I feel demotivated too.
Sitting here in p.j.s slurping hot lemon hoping to ward off the cold that the rest of the family seem to have.
Have three huge baskets of ironing and the ironing board is about to collapse.
House move has fallen through - bank is taking ages to deal with probate - washing is not drying in this weather etc!!!
No idea what to make for tea - maybe egg fried rice as there are so few things that everyone will eat happily!
Big hug - it can onky get better! Fingers crossed."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Morning All
Got to get on with all the jobs that didnt get done yesterday. DD had managed to decorate half the house with wax crayon when I wasnt looking so I need to get that off now before it stains.
Later on if DD sleeps are at the right time we will go to the local toddler group so I can get my village gossip fix. Then its off to Aldi for afew bits, still eating out of the freezer for the most part so only need fruit etc.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hello all. Misty here today, hoping the sun will put his hat on later on.
Not much happening here today, the cat got me up at 4.30 so I had a cup of tea and then put the BM on because I'd forgotten to do it before I went to bed, hopefully a nice seedy loaf will be ready in a few minutes.
Two loads of washing already done but I think it's going to be too damp to put it outside  it's a load of towels so it would be weeks before it dried.
Well done Queenie and Stressedoutmumof1, giving up smoking must be so difficult and you're both doing so well.
Hope everyone else is OK, have a good day all.
Breakfast: crumpets and Marmite
Lunch: Spanish omelette
Dinner: Salmon with roast veggies.
See you!

Morning everyone :hello:
I thought I'd be brave and join in as I read this every day.
Got the sniffles today so got up with a sore throat and eyes stuck together . OH didn't do the washing up after last night's HM pizza  so tackled that and stuck the WM on before I left for work.
Trying to reach my 5 a day so:
Breakfast: Grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans & poached egg
Lunch: Leftover veggie HM pizza
Dinner: ? Not sure at the moment
Have a great day everyone xxIts nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -
Morning All
Sun is shining here and its looking like a beautiful day and its Friday :j .I know its the 13th but Ive been touching wood all morning and am feeling very positive and happy.
Have got to go to a big town today to take one of DS presents back which stopped working 2 days after his birthday, also DD watch has stopped which I bought at the same time. I really dont like going to this Argos you seem to wait ages and the nearer we get to silly season the worse it is. For Xmas pressies I always make sure I order enough to get free home delivery. Also got to pop to wickes (my least favourite shop) as oh needs some more wood for his decking frame. But the good bit is on the way back we will stop off at the cavery and get 2 roast dinners for £10.
Not much OS going on today have jiggled my meal plan and am having hm chicken curry with tandoori drumsticks for tea, have shop bought poppadoms though.
Also very happy today as I have received confirmation that the order for my new car has gone thro. Just awaiting someone to call to confirm date of collection. Not very MSE but have got it £3000 cheaper than the main dealer price.
May do ironing when I get back later but then again may leave it till tomm when can do it in front of the telly - generally flick between Saturday Kitchen and Saturday cooks.
Hope you all have a happy and safe Fri 13th. ((((Hugs)))) to those who need them.0 -

busy day at work today-got to fix some equipment that a PhD student melted  :wall:
Oh, - forgot Extra Hugs to Queenie and SOMO1. Hang in there-you're doing great0 -
I was up bright & early this morning - working from home, so I spent the first 2 1/2 hours in bed with my laptop :j :shhh: It's so satisfying knowing my colleagues are all slogging away in our grotty office in their stuffy work clothes & I'm still in bed, but doing just as much work as they are!
Off to South Wales this aft to visit the in laws for the weekend, so trying to get cleaned up before we go. Have ironed all OH's work clothes for next week, so at least I don't have to do it when we get back Sunday night. Currently a load in the WM, DW waiting to go on after lunch (a HM leek & pot soup from the freezer I think), and the bags are packed, ready to go when OH gets in from work.
cha97michelle - tell me about waiting in for delivery/work men! My new camera was supposed to be coming today - I organised it for today as I knew I'd be in. Lo & behold I get home from work yesterday & there's a card through the door! When have you every heard of anything being delivered early??!!We went to get it last night from the depot & it's fab, so I haven't really got cause for complain! Big *thumbs up* to cameras2u.com for such speedy service tho (if a little "too" speedy, LOL).
Well done to the quitters - you can do it!
Have a lovely Friday, the sun is shining here, so hope it is for you too
PS Australia in 3 weeks, woo-hoo!! :j :T :j :T0 -
:grouphug: Thanks button isn't working for me so hugs to all.
Just DD and I 'til end of school. She's being an :A . (though she is pulling everything out of the toybox - and I mean everything!)
Off in a mo to get stuff for dinner - can get it all in village so save a trip in the car. I'll get DH to get goats milk on his way home. I do love a non car day. Especially since yesterday was a non spend day, thanks to this site. MATH's cheese and tomato risotto for dinner - had everything in and it went down very well. And Weetabix brownies for afters - also went down well. thanks all.:T
Tonight is chicken and mushroom casserole from SC. Lovin' the SC by the way.
I agree with Bertie w**k just doesn't say work to me. Thought it was only my mind.:rotfl:"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Misty, damp and cold here this morning, they do promise sun later, will look forward to that.
Pile of ironing done yesterday afternoon, so thats out of the way until the washer goes on again..........
Nothing really planned for today, might go for a ride out this afternoon, depends on the weather.
Quiet weeked planned, unless something happens to change my mind, just gong to chill out. I do need to make some marmalade though we have run out and a baking of scones would not go amiss..............
I am thinking of junking my desk top and getting another laptop, I hate having to sit upstairs whilst OH is on the puter in the living room watching TV......saw a good one yesterday, will have to look into it a bit further. A freind told me about a new service provider in the area doing 8g for £14.99 a month £3 less than I pay for 1G right now.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Welcome Littlemiss-lotsofdebt :hello:
Make sure your medicine cabinet is stocked up, sounds like you might be coming down with something ((get well soon)).
Sarah - I think we all go through stodgy times like those, one thing which may help is to write out all those bills and things to do/remember on a master list, then, before you go to bed, write up a To Do list for the next day. Your subconscious will work on those items while you sleep and you may well find that it's not so overwhelming when you begin your new day with a set list of items to work through. It's often the enormity of just how much needs to be done in the forthcoming days/weeks which is so overwhelming, but breaking it all down into bite sized chunks makes it's all the more achievable. ((((Good Luck)))) And when that sun shines? Take a 10 minute breather outside and have a short walk to absorb some Vit D from the rays.
Hope you hear back from the Police soon, if not, you call them!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
