hi everyone ive not posted for a few days as we have had a few things on our minds

first of all friday the 13th wasnt looking to today but not because it was a unlucky day but today my darling BF had to go to hospital to find out some results as we thought he had breast cancer and today he got the nod it wasnt, thank god is all i can say as its been a stressful few days leading up to finding out, he felt embarressed because its normally a woman thing. today is also my mums anniversary 12 yrs ago she passed away and also today my house sale completed and my friends got married who we couldnt go to as we had the hospital appointment.

so all in all today hasnt been unlucky but been a good day after all..

tonight we going to go to oxford dogs and have a bloody good night out to celebrate..

    catch you all laters

Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
  • Hello all

Had a mad couple of days, which resulted in my collapsing into my chair at 10.30 this morning and not moving until noon. Still, we've got a lot done, including having the exhaust fixed for £18 without having to have a new one. :T Hurrah for ATS! I've done the cash flow for this month and have stepped our gas consumption budget up to £15 every ten days. I hope that'll keep us comfy for a while. I managed to shake off the OH and take the dogs up to the local woods on our own this morning. Its been aeons since it was just me'n'the hounds, it was so nice. A real blast from the past. The sweet chestnut trees are bursting with big fat nuts. What can you make with sweet chestnuts? My brain can't come up with a thing, but they look so useable!

Our Freecycle freezer is behaving beautifully and I'm full of plans to fill it up. I can see some jam tart making on the horizon. I'm sure DS would love to help with that, and enjoy finding them in his lunchbox even more! ;) I try to include one random surprise in his lunch each day. Today he had a grated cheese pitta, so I included a couple of pickled onions in a little pot. He liked them, but apparently his friends were a bit surprised. :rotfl: Maybe we'll set a trend. :D

Hope all who were poorly are feeling better and all who are newly poorly feel better very soon. Hugs to those that would like them - I'm off to rescue my bread, as the BM is singing at me!
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Hi!

Just about to leave to drive into London to visit friend in Barts Hospital. Just wanted to say thank you for the instructions on how to get there. Hope we can get parked! He has just had his op cancelled, was on the operating table when they said his haemoglobin levels were too low! Poor guy was all keyed up for the surgery and now this!

Not much os done today but hey we all need a day off sometimes.

Snowy so sorry to hear the sad news about that little girl, how terribly sad! How lucky we have been.

    (((Hugs)))) to everyone

Queenie sorry to hear you're ill. But good luck with the quitting smoking challenge

    Happy Birthday Miss IceMaiden

Big boss man has gone now. Got myself a free ticket to the local Beer Festival tomorrow. I'll be driving so won't drink, but I've never been before, so should be good. Meeting up with a colleague.

Been really lazy today, and haven't done any work hardly. Means I'll have lots to do on Sunday when I get in, but hey-ho. Going to watch the local rugby team in action tomorrow at lunchtime, and having lunch with all the important people from the club and the mayor.

Going to the gym on Sunday afternoon after work. Then I'm off next week, apart from a cocktail evening on Wednesday and a firework display on Saturday.

    Helllooooo everyone :hello:

Been a busy busy bee this week. Hopefully got everything sorted for the big business launch party in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed) Still not enough hours in the day or days in the week, but hey ho :D

Sorry I haven't had time to keep up to date with OS - can't even remember when I last logged on, but (((hugs))) to those in need, congrats where needed and a happy birthday to miss ICE :bdaycake:

Have managed to be somewhat OS this week. My BM and SC have had a lot of use and I spent a few hours decluttering my attic room - several items have been free-cycled and are being collected tomorrow. Today I took advantage of the weather and stripped all the beds and cleaned both boys rooms. Also did a mega-shop (Mr T's unfortunately, but hadn't time for anything else)

Have done my after school child minding and popped round to a neighbours who insisted, nay, "forced" me to have a glass of wine, on an empty stomach .... *hic* :D Have also opened my own bottle too.......

So, must clear up the office because I'm expecting a delivery from the printers tomorrow and I'm short of space. Other than that, I may venture into the attic room and begin sorting out the Xmas pressies i have stashed up there .... after the boys are asleep of course ;)

Ok, love to all and hope to catch up with you all soon

Am I the only one who's dying to know what TM's biz is? Or have you announced it already and I missed it? Or is it a secret? Will there be pics of the launch party? Sooooooooo many questions..........:D

I didn't do any decorating today because I couldn't be bothered :rotfl:

I'm dying to know too - bit peeved she hasn't invited us all to the launch party to be honest......tut! ;)

Just made 30 fish cakes - bunged all but 4 in the freezer - DD's are happily tucking into the others - amazing how far a large tin of tuna, 2 grated carrots, 6 spuds and a handfull of peas and onions go.

Just about to start making curry - DH was going to cook but he's in the bath in a foul mood - I shall pour him a glass of wine and let him simmer for an hour.

  • evening,

feeling a bit better now than earlier. Thanks for the good wishes. Dads at home now, and they have told him to have bed rest, and go to the outpatients every couple of days to get the wound dressed. From the x-rays, it hadn't got to his bone, so they will try really strong antibiotics.

I thought i was in labour as i was having pains. Too much running round, I think i may be imminent. Catowen, the plan is that DH is going to email a lot of people. I have added Pen-pen to that list after she asked the same question, and she will let everyone here know for me, as i don't know when i'll get time to pop back on. Hopefully not too long or i will get withdrawal symptoms. ;)

back to resting anyway, or DH will tell me off with the amount of times i have rang him to talk about my aches and pains today. God help the phone bill.

Hopefully, see you all tomorrow. :D
