Off to w*** today, but I'm picking up my new specs, too! May also be getting some new disposable contacts, as my gas permeable ones are getting more and more uncomfortable as I get older
    Scuzz, hinking of you, hun.
JackieO, glad you found your passport! I did a check, and I was misinformed. You do need a passport to travel, even to EU countries.
Snowy, want to borrow some matchsticks?
Lillibet, have a great holiday - you can't beat Yorkshire! Who was it said they were coming up to York?
Churchmouse, great to see you back! :j
On the OS front, I have a fridge and shed heaving with produce from the garden. I'll be preparing that tonight for jamming and freezing tomorrow.
    Have a great day!

    Morning All,
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SQUEAKY
Well, after a very disturbed nights sleep (all 3 kids up at various times for various lengths of time ) I am hoping for a somewhat slower paced day today. No meetings today and have DD1 at school all day and DS at preschool from 9.30-12.00 so I ought to be able to get on with ome much needed housework. I'm not a flylady type (no offense intended to those that are) I prefer to get on with things as I see them. Bathrooms inparticular need a visit today.

Also got to get a move on wrapping xmas presents. I've gone from being uber organised to a bit of a mess with xmas. Only DD1 and DSD are bought for. Nothing at all for DS or DD2. Hubby part done. Mum and MIL both done. The bits I have bought are languishing in DS's bedroom. We are going to have a real tree this year :j a treat as Mum is here from NZ over xmas and in NZ we only ever had real trees. Need to look into where to get one from.:j

Gotta go and get brekkie for the kids, they need half an hour to wake up before they want food and its getting on for that now.

    Have a fab day all,
    Al.

PS - Good luck for your meeting SCUZZ, we'll be thinking of you. Hope you're feeling better today PP.

Kippered! I've been kippered. Set up! Had!

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. :)

My first present for the day arrived a little after three thirty am when Sally brought me in a mouse. As usual it is completely unharmed and, also as usual, she put it down while she went for a drink of water - fully expecting it to still be there when she got back.

Of course, what it did was leg it for cover as soon as her back was turned, so now I'm going to have to go crawling under the furniture again!

I've also got a table cruet set that has some absolutely seriously deeeeeeelicious lemon infused olive oil. It's so-o-o-oo nice that it's really hard not to sip and drink it straight from the bottle!

The rest of my plans for the day are to mostly hang about here and be idle.

    :)

    Snowy
, want to borrow some matchsticks?

LOL Penny, I may be taking you up on that generous offer! At 4.00 am or at whatever ridiculous hour it was I decided it'd be a good idea to keep awake for 24 hours I thought it would be easy! I've managed it before without trying...

Scuzz - hope your meeting goes well, fight your corner!!

I've been poking through three bags of receipts (don't ask) to try and find my B&Q credit note - but to no avail. Perhaps I've already spent it, I don't know! However I did find two fivers which were all mixed in with the receipts....so I'm a tenner up, so will withdraw £10 less than planned for next week's shopping.
