Happy Birthday MATH
Big hug to penny pincher and hope you feel better soon.
Went to look for hall and stair carpet for Dad's flat yesterday and not happy at the price - nagged DH to try one more place today and can get what we want for half the price - including underlay and fitting!!!
Actually impressed DH for once;)
Checked my Amazon sales and listed a few more books on there.
Tea will be a chicken pie , veg and potato wedges as I have been quite busy.
Hugs to everyone.

Happy Birthday Man About The House! :T :T :T
Busy day at w**k today and had trampolining after school, so this is the first time I've had chance to sit down all day. Had pulled out the BM yesterday (blew off the dust) and am going to make Pizza Dough tomorrow with DDs, as I managed to cram in a 'big' food shop this weekend and have finally got round to buying all the ingredients. :T
Spent most of weekend blitzing the house, ended up getting rid of 8 bigs of toys that DDs had outgrown , hoping to turn playroom into a 'den' now they are getting older. Having said that DD2 then started on her 'list to Santa' - Argos catalgue in hand and listed all the things that we had bagged up!!!! I guess it'll be a few more years before the 'minimalist look' returns to the Frizz house.
Have a good day all.

Hello everyone and Happy Birthday, Math!
Sorry to hear you're not doing too well, Penny Pincher. :grouphug:
Took back two shirts to Next today that didn't fit hubby. One was a sale item and they couldn't exchange it for a larger one because they no longer had the sale clothes. The other non-sale one though I managed to exchange. I do love the Next sale, though. They always knock a decent amount of money off. Its well worth saving up and going to the Next sale just after Christmas. They have so many bargains and you can take them home to try them on and return anything later that doesn't fit. The last time we went we bought around £650 worth of clothes for about £290. We were well chuffed!
Made banana bread this afternoon. Smells delicious as its cooking and Ive had a Le Creuset casserole dish delivered from Amazon - my first Christmas present, which is for my mum. They are really expensive but on offer at the moment on Amazon. Instead of being £57 they are £27.97!
Made a farmhouse loaf in my BM yesterday and it has soft grain flour in it as well as honey. It is a really lovely, soft loaf and tastes lovely made as a salad sandwich! Yum!0 -
Hello all. I don't often manage to post on a work day, but we're eating later this evening as DH is playing badminton, so have managed to sneak a few minutes on OS.
Need to go and put chicken casserole in the oven shortly, and will make use of the heat by also doing a couple of baked apples and a weetabix cake. Yum. Must also make lunches for tomorrow - tuna sandwiches I think.
Hope you've had a lovely birthday MATH.0 -
I decided I should teach DD some life skills today :
She only did the plastic things but she did really well for a 5 year old:DCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Happy birthday MATH!
Today has been yet another erm.......... interesting day at school  with the head promising "job losses" if we don't pull our socks up. I'm working like a mad woman possessed by school work. Roll on half term......
DH is currently cooking supper - pasta with pesto. Not very OS, but we will be having homemade pear crumble that DH made yesterday with pears given to him by one of his work colleagues. Apparently there are more where they came from, so no doubt another one will be on its way soon! :j :j
We're also still waiting to hear whether our offer has been accepted on house no. 2. It's pretty annoying that the woman pulled out of house number 1, but the solicitor is asking her solicitor whether she wants to pay half our costs. The survey and searches had all been done when she "realised" that she couldn't afford to buy in the area that she wanted to.
I'll go and do some marking
