Having said that DD2 then started on her 'list to Santa' - Argos catalgue in hand and listed all the things that we had bagged up!!!! I guess it'll be a few more years before the 'minimalist look' returns to the Frizz house. :(

    Have a good day all.

just started......mine started theirs about 2 weeks ago - i think "nanny" has put them up to it! - wot is it about the argos book that kids just love looking at????

nicki - your daughter is lovely! wot a cutie pie:A

beachbeth - yes ive just bought some bargains in the Next Sale too!

Unfortunately my day didnt go as planned, ended up leaving my job due to not being paid yet and its now October!! So told them I wont be going into the office until I am paid.

Then decided to go and buy some new shoes (for work?) ended up buying 3 pairs of shoes!!! (unheard of for me!) and some new black towels in M&S (spurred on by pennypinchers new bathroom ones!) Then of course you get home and feel totally guilty for spending that amount and now feel like going back and returning them:confused: (might need the money now if i dont have a job!)

anyway, feeling abit fraught but have managed NOT to attack the chocolate in keep up with cutting back - have been good today, no bread, salad for lunch, fruit and bit of rice with my chilli tonite for tea. Got headache but thats probably due to not having so many carbs, but I dont feel as bloated for it (keep reminding myself of that vision of me in the full length mirror today will keep me on track! ) thanks taplady for encouragement.

    Agreed :D

Mr troo cooked a huge apple crumble today :T

Oooooooh and I've booked friday off work, it's mr troo's day off. Every year we say we're going to Trago Mills to buy a ton of stuff before Christmas but we've never had enough money (well not all at once anyway lol) to make it worthwhile. But I've saved hard and we're off :T :D

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 4th October 2006. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Good morning everyone!

I know it annoys some people if the daily thread is started at night rather than in the morning, but please forgive me this one time. Those of you who know me, will know that I am not a morning person, so it's unlikely that I would be able to start the thread tomorrow.....

I just wanted to let you all know that a little bird told me it is squeaky's birthday today and I know many of you will want to join me in wishing him a very happy birthday!
    Happy Birthday squeaky!
    I hope it's a good one.
    :bdaycake:

I hope you all have a great Wednesday! :)

    Hello everyone!

    :j!!Happy Birthday Squeaky!!:j

Have a fantastic day Squeaky, hope you celebrate with lots of cards and pressies, and maybe a wee dram or two.

I have had enough of sleeplessness, and tonight/today/tomorrow am attempting one of the cures in my how to sleep book. It suggests staying awake for 24 hours thus rendering yourself knackered (it's working already!). This should induce a good night's sleep tonight - then the next day get up at a decent time, thus setting up the start of a good routine. Well, we'll see.

I need to do a spot of tidying up in the room I'm in right now, it's like a tip. But more importantly I have a credit note from B&Q somewhere in here, which expires in October...so need to convert that into a rug or something asap. Have to find it first though...

AussieLass...glad to hear you're feeling a bit more perky today. You didn't sound in good form yesterday at all. Your grandson sounds like he's well settled in and happy. You reminded me about the Weetabix cake I've been hiding in the fridge the past few days. I've just scoffed a big slice and I'm sure it tastes better if it's allowed to mature for a while. Not that I was complaining in the first place mind lol, always managed to finish what I cut off, though for some reason my cake has fewer slices than other peoples. Not sure what I'm doing wrong:confused::rolleyes:

Later today I'm off out shopping for some carpet. This will be the first perusal - will get a few of them out to measure up for quotation purposes.

    Have a fantastic Wednesday everyone.
