Hello everyone, nothing OS in the CM house today, just off out for lunch and a chinwag at a friend's, but wanted to say
Happy Birthday Squeaky!!!! Have you managed to locate and then relocate your first gift of the day!
Mimi, I've had that same "mummy moment" with more than one of my four boys, they all believed my explanation!! But it's real "cold sweat" time isn't it?
Aussie, thanks for a good laugh, I too would have been "unwell" or "dieting" when it came to the cake!
Hope everyone is enjoying their days, whether productive, or like mine, not:rolleyes:Must scoot, else I'll be late, bye bye

Afternoon, just a quick post while I eat lunch (HM leek & pot soup out of the freezer - another item crossed off my list!). I have made myself wait to post today, so rather than a list of "I'm going to do's", I can post a list of "have dones"
So far:
Bins/assorted recycling out
Boiled kidney & haricot beans for tonights sausage & bean casserole
Cleaned all downstairs doors with a damp microfibre cloth (Mum found 3 for £1 & bought me some)
Got rid of all the dirty marks on downstairs walls/paintwork with a sponge eraser (another "Mum find"). They should alleviate the need to re-decorate for another year or so :rotfl:
Other items of note:
Happy Birthday Squeaky, hope it's good one
Hugs to Scuzz, I essentially got told by my boss on Monday that I was "imagining" a problem. I then gave him an accurate description of the word "perceived", as in if I perceived there to be a problem, then there IS a problem, even if he sees it differently.
JackieO - enjoy your trip, glad you found the passport! Put it somewhere safe when you get home
Crumbled last night & put the heating on! It was freezing.
Off to the hairdressers at 4; I wasn't over keen on what she did last time (ie not what I asked for), so need to get brave & tell it to her straight. Why is it I, a normally confident & lets face it, outspoken person, turn into a mumbling nodding dog in the hairdressers?0 -
Hi everyone!
Happy birthday Squeaky!!
Rushing around again today like a headless chicken so am going to have a very un OS evening, put my feet up and be as unproductive as possible!!!
Before I left managed to get the floors all washed, beds made and washing sorted.
Have got the small person's parents evening tonight so toes crossed there!
Will be getting back to the Chrimb shopping at the weekend and hope to get the last major bit done. One can live in hope. Mind you I shall still be sitting there wrapping it on Christmas Eve. One of my absolute pet hates!!
Told you it was a boring day today in the world of Aril!!
Have a groovy Wednesday and eat lots of chocolate!!

My house smells delicious. I am cooking 8 lbs of quinces from my tree for jelly which I will finish tomorrow. I've picked as many as I can reach, but there are lots out of reach. Still I managed to get around 50, and some of them are as big as 2 Bramley apples.
The quince plan is to make 2 double batches of jelly, 2 big bottles of quince vodka and lots of quince puree for the freezer to stir into hm yogurt. I shall bake a few for puds over the next couple of weekends and maybe add some to meat stews Middle Eastern style. The rest will be given away, mostly to friends of my Mum as my friends won't know what to do with them
DS2 is going to show one in the school harvest festival on Friday. He had to bring in some food and find out where in the world it was from. He wrote ' this is a quince and it is from my garden.':D
If you don't know what quinces look like, have a look at thishttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quince
I went to Wilkinson's this morning but they didn't have any Stardrops. I can't find it anywhere round here:(0 -

Yayyyy....I just sold a book on Amazon for £23:D Also sold 2 items on Ebay yesterday for £45-£50...cant remember now:rolleyes: ...so have made a tidy profit over the past 24hrs;)
OH has been quite busy and has swept through for me and done 3 washloads. Been resting and reading on the sofa most of the day...very boring! He has been to the PO and sent off 2 parcels I sold yesterday. He picked up a bedding set from Matalan that we couldnt buy anywhere in the superking size but they called and said they had put to one side for us. He has also washed the car.
Not much else planned really. Need some bread, but may put the BM on with another french loaf
Hope everyone is well.

Spag bol for tea today, there's loads of portions in the freezer.
The portions are from a NEW batch that I made while master troo was out of the house, so him and his cornflour could get nowhere near it :rotfl:Bulletproof0
