Got up early to drop of DS1 at the college bus - DH usually takes him on way to work but he's got a late start today so I'm letting him have a lie in!
Off shopping for the morning later, need to find something for mums birthday next week- she'll be 65.
Later I'll be doing some cleaning for the gent I care for on my days off - he'll be 96 in December and is still independent in his own home! - with a little help from me!

Oh tidied the house up a couple of days back...so nothing to organise there. Isn't he handy.
I made some porridge for breakfast and it'll be jacket potatoes with tuna for tea.
Other than that nothing to report. Bean is still wriggling / squirming around....I'm starting to feel like an overgrown elephant. But hey that's life with pregnancy.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

Morning all!
Day off today - my only one alone this week, so need to get lots done. Have cherries defrosting in the fridge to turn into jam, damsons and plums to turn into chutney, apples to chop and freeze, beans to pod for drying and storage, marrow to freeze for jam later.
I'm wanting to do a quick swish and swipe of the house, run the hoover round, and iron.
We're having rellies for supper on Sunday on their way back from dropping their daughter at uni in York. So I'm going to cook a casserole and freeze it, then bake for the children - all the muffins and most of the cake I made earlier in the week are gone.
Snowy, are you still awake? I have plenty more matchsticks.
Shez, are you glad to be back at work?
I bought a pummice yesterday, for cleaning the spare loo - bit of a state, only used by DS!
Have a great day,
Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

 Good morning everyone,
Having a few moments to myself before they all surface. There's leftover pizza for breakfast, so no need to make anything. Lunchboxes were done yesterday evening. Just got to make sure the 2 younger ones have a £1 each for the privilege of wearing their jeans to school today (Jeans for genes day),Ds1 is doing it tomorrow so someone's got the day wrong.
Ds1 has to get the bus home this afternoon for the first time, I discovered he'd spent his emergency bus fare on a cake  I shall worry about him till he's got home.
Been rereading Bernadine Lawrence's book How to Feed Your Family for £5 a Day. I've decided our meals need simplifying. There is just too much choice of things to eat in the house - and who eats most of it ? me:o .I was tempted to make a rolled bread with hazelnuts and chocolate spread in it yesterday a la Jamie Oliver, but I decided against it because I knew I'd eat most of it. So I gave the kids bread and jam (all hm) instead - they were happy:)
Plaice fillets for super (they were pricy  ), plus baked spuds and veg.0
