Morning Everyone
Tired here this morning in the house of Gin as the neighbours decided to have a massive barney in the middle of the night. I started fastforwarding and wondering at what point do you step in as it started getting violent (her whacking him I think) they have a policewoman on the other side so I am not sure what she would make of it but there are 6 of them that live in the house and there were definately others there at the time.
DH has been away for most of this week so need to tidy up the house properly as it does tend to slip whilst he's away. We are off on the school run soon and ds is happy as he has his favourite teacher today. I need to find some inspiration for dinner, fish pie chilli or lamb, can't decide but I need to take the meat out of the freezer soon.
I have been knitting lately and managed a very simple scarf for DD and am now trying to knit a stripy scarf for ds but am having trouble adding on different colours without it looking messy?
Got to go. Hope everyone manages to stay warm today, heating went on for the first time yesterday:o .0 -

Big hugs to all especially those that need them.
Had a really pooey morning this morning allready and feel like sitting on here all day, it's a shame the kitchen is a tip and I will have to go and clean it in a mo.
At last my washing machine should be fixed later today, so thats on the good side, I can't wait to have clean organised clothes again.
At least dd 3yo has playschool so I don't have to running after her all morning at least.
Please some one give a kick up the bum and tell me to cheer up, I hate feeling like this.
Going to put a stew in the slow cooker in a bit, first one of the autumn:j bought beef yams and parsnips to put in it.
baby is roaring at me and trying to turn the computer off, he likes the button and ewwww he stinks, I think I need to change his bum. Hopefully will be able to start using terries again, if the washer gets fixed that is.
  dd 3yo just come running in all nakie but, she has to be out of the house in 10 mins- ohh I love my kids this morning.

Morning All
Hugs to all of you with ill LO's or who dont feel on top form yourselves.
Been so busy with work etc I havent had time to post. Had a few bad nights with DD as grandma decided to wash her comfort blanket again and when she wakes she doesnt seem to be able to settle herself.
Plan for today is go back to Matalan with DD slipper as they have no insole in them as I didnt get round to it on Sunday, while I'm there I will get some thread from Dunelm mill so I can shorten some curtains and look at the price of thermal liners for our bedroom curtains. Then its off to Aldi for my few bits of shopping and possible Tesco for DD organic yogurts if I have time.
This afternoon I need to tackle the mess in our hall and porch as it is threatening to take over the house.
Better go I need to look at the meal plan before we head out to see what i need.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Can you give me your address please!
Morning everyone! I hope you have a lovely trip JackieO!
Gingin - I know how you feel. We used to have neighbours that frequently had screaming rows, sometimes all through the night. One time she called the police because her OH had hit her. She had hit him first though and it wasn't really anything violent! My hubbie and I lay in bed and could hear the policeman saying to him "you're not going to hit her again, are you?" and he kept replying "if she hits me, I'll hit her" !!!
I tell you, we hung the flags out the day they moved out! They only moved down the road though and now my 19 year old daughter is going out with their 19 year old son!!! so we now have contact with them again! It looks serious too because they have been looking at rings!!! Well, its her life!
B: toast with HM bread
L: Baked potatoes (I forgot to put one in the oven yesterday so will have one today instead!)HM Shepherds pie with cauliflower cheese
Have a good day and hugs to anyone that needs them! :grouphug:0 -
Morning all :hello:
Not much OS going on today! - although I was reminded by best friend last night that I have a choir concert on Sunday which I'd completely forgotten about. So I have to try and motivate myself to make something to donate to the shared buffet tea we always have on these occasions. Hopefully I can find some squidgy bananas for a few pp in the supermarket on Friday evening - I've done banana loaf for this choir before and everybody loved it.
Went to the opera last night with best friend - £9 standing tickets, although it was pretty empty so we ended up sitting in expensive seats(I don't usually do this but it was soooooo empty, it was fair game!) It was deservedly empty, as although the singing was good, the production was boring and the opera itself was waaaaay too long with a really daft plot!
Also discovered that one of my favourite pubs has been closed down with apparently no warningOne of the more reasonably-priced pubs of Covent Garden, where if I went in on an opera night I could almost guarantee to bump into several people I knew - a sad loss!
Have been giving myself a good kick up the backside after realising how far I've fallen off the OS wagon recentlyDespite getting down to only 1-2 nights out per week, which should mean that I can live quite comfortably on £40 all-in groceries and spending money, I've been spending more like £60  - the budget is £50 so it means I'm eating into what JackieO calls my "Happy Cash" (the money I could be saving for trips or special treats)!
Anyway, plans for today are: work. Singing lesson. Laundry. Remember to take curry out of freezer for tomorrow's lunch.
Hope you're all well, and ((hugs)) if you're not.

Had a great day with DD yesterday and in true old style bought her 2 pairs of warm P.J s from Primark - posh leather gloves from TJHughes (should have been £50 for £10!) and a pair of lovely glasses from T.J. Hughes that look gorgeous and will impress her housemates lol!
Got back at nearly 9p.m. so did dishes this morning.
Need to tell bank that I have now obtained probate for my dad - collect letter from sorting office and let carpet fitter in to my Dad's flat this afternoon.
DD has list of vegs she fancies so will go to the weekly market later.
Big hugs to all who are feeling grotty!

morning all
what a miserable grey day it is. I was expecting it, so set myself the task of summer to winter clothes sorting. All the boxes are down and now on the bed and on the floor. I have been through everything and there is hardly anything to get rid of. One too tight but worn outfit and four never-worn bargain items I bought 3 years ago. What a waste!! Good names as well but they were such a good buy at the time. Oh well I`ll ebay them in a few days. The boxes are good, they`re fold up popper boxes made from canvas from b and q. I`ve had them a couple of years now and they`re definitely worth having
It`s not easy sorting this year as we have a couple of holidays planned but I may label one box with the warm weather stuff for Malta. Anyway I`m in one mighty tip upstairs eg m and s £5 t shirts, worn but still wearable and good for layering
ps I`ve got to mention that this is only my stuff and there is only the two of us these days. I know the saying about `throw it away if you haven`t worn it in two years` but the stuff is good and it fits and I`m no fashion icon and anyway its all timeless
skystar don`t tackle everything as a whole, just do a nibble at one corner and work in0 -
Morning All,
Just remembered as I read the thread I had a load in the WM which I meant to hang out, b*m. Will see if DH will do it for me before his bike ride, he detests hanging out washing.
Catowen, hugs for your DD, it's horrible when they're hurting isn't it?
Hugs to all littlies feeling poorly, DD wasn't great this morning either, her voice sounded terrible, asked her lovely classroom assistant to keep an eye and call if she was worried so may get a call at some point.
After feeling so positive about Dad, we had some possibly worrying news yesterday, my sister is going up today so will talk to the doctor, it may be nothing, fingers crossed.
House is neat and tidy, must do the floors at some point. Dinner tonight will be spanish omelette for me and sausages and mash for the kids. My nephew is with us for dinner tonight and he is soooooo fussy. DH working so will dine alone.
Nothing terribly OS planned, need to make a loaf in the BM tonight, might try the chocolate bread too, it sounds lovely. Will also need to finish curtain for kids toy cupboard.
Have a lovely day all.
