    Morning :hello:

I wanted to put the washing out as soon as I got up but didn't shut the WM door properly when I went to bed last night  So I clicked it shut just now, and it's on. My day has gone wonky already :D

Pet cages to clean out, ironing to do, floor needs hoovering, cards to make, [strike]minstrels to eat[/strike].

Having a bike is saving me a fortune, most of the shopping is done by me on my way home from work. I can only buy what fits in my backpack :D

    Morning All

    Mrs_mix - get well soon.

Seem to have slept well and got up to a rather cold house so heating is now on. WM on and will have at least another 2 loads for it and have emptied the dishwasher.

After have taken DS to school will have a housework morning then an ironing afternoon. Need to wash my hair but will put a hat on for the school run and have a shower later. OS will be using vinegar/stardrops/soda crystals for my cleaning today. Unfort non os this eve as I have parent/teacher meeting at 5.45pm (hope they are running on time) and we have decided to have a takeaway after. (Still much better than the pre MSE days when would have many takeaways a week just coz couldnt be bothered).

Anyway thats about it for today, just finished coffee and not feeling energetic at all but hopefully that will come.

    Have a brill day

    Morning Chums ,
not a good night as the joints are creaking a bit ,must be rain on the way. I am going to take things easy today ,I have packed my bag for my trip to Holland .I am hoping that the rain will hold off for awhile. I finished my ironing and all I am doing today is to make some lasange for my DD's freezer .She has apparently too much month until the end of the month to go if you know what I mean. basically she's brassic.
I shall make lots of lasagne and fill her freezer up for her . She has a family that all want different food. As she is going to WW she likes my low-fat pasta, so I shall do that for her today.Apart from that I don't think I have much more to do. One of the 'advantages ' of not sleeping well is that you get other jobs done that you have been putting off. I did a lot of mending around 5.a.m. this morning so I feel that my time hasn't been wasted .Well I am off to have some tea, toast and honey and to watch the news on t.v.
Take care all of you I shall return on Monday
Hugs to all that need them:j

    Good morning everyone,

Hope all those with poorly children, and are poorly themselves feel better soon xx

I still have my 'funny' throat/cough. Cant say i feel ill at all, cos i dont, but it is a nuisence (sp) as i keep having to clear my throat and cough!!!!
Plans for today - well nothing OS at all!!!! I only have one little one here (my god daughter) and in Plymouth today, the new shopping center is opening!!!! a MASSIVE Next, Primark, Lush, H & M, M & S (and a make a teddy shop my DD is itching to go into!!!! So guess where we are going!!!! I have no money, but im looking forward to doing some window shopping and seeing if there is anything for xmas i can get later on. Also out for dinner at friends house tonight, and then another lovely friend is coming around for a glass of wine and a chat, so really looking forward to all that.
One prob i have to sort out is DD at school. Shes been very unlucky, as her friends keep moving schools (one a couple of years ago, and then last term her best friend emigrated to Australia) so shes feeling very sad and lonely at school, and it all came to a head last night when she finaly admitted it. Shes only 8, and of course, all the other girls over the years have all paired off etc, so now DDs friends have gone, she has no one. It broke my heart last night, shes clingy to me anyway so im going to see her teacher and see if we can sort something out. I hope we can.
Right, better get the packed lunches ready,
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Forgot to say catznine, made your chocolate bread yesterday, DS is VERY grateful to you!!!!!
  • Morning Guys!

I feel awful....again:D My throat feels like it needs to be ripped out as it hurts so much and I have so much snot...I could re-paper the lounge with it:rotfl:

Anyway.....WM is on for 2nd time today, DW will need going on later and toilet has been cleaned. Other jobs for OH/ME to do today are: towel load in WM, iron new bedding-clear out DD's wardrobe. She has so many clothes, many still tagged from america and mostly top designer names, so should get a few pounds on Ebay for them;)

Have an electrcian coming to finish the shower as they should have run 2 switches (1 for light and other for fan) but they did one and each time we use the shower or even brush our teeth for 3 mins...the fan kicks in for 20mins and is probably costing a fortune to run:eek:   There is a good window in there, so even after a shower the fan doesnt really need to go on-just open the window.

DD has her first Netball match away tonight against another Grammar school (the one right on our doorstep that is ranked in top 10 for the UK which we wanted her to go too but she didnt like it:confused: ) so I explained to her that its not all about winning and whatever happens use it as a learning kirb (sp). DD then replied by saying....."Dont worry mum, we gonna kick their ar$es!"......"They suck big time!".......    .....wheres my lovely little girl gone:rolleyes: ...It was a funny moment:D She is Goal Keeper as shes so tall.

The 2nd hand shop is on today and DD desperately needs some more blouses, so fingers crossed everyone that they have them in her size. They are £14 new each:eek: or £1 each 2nd hand-am after getting another 5 all short sleeve as she doesnt like the long sleeved and they are only needed for formal occasions and pictures.

Anyway, Id best stop gasing. Hugs to all and hope everyone is OK.

    Breakie: Toast, butter and jam
Lunch: Left over HM Fishpie from last night
Dinner: Braised Lamb, New Potatoes, French Beans and cabbage

    Catch up later.
    PP

    Morning everyone

I"ve had a bad few day's. My hubby has been doing over time so he been working 7am till 8 or 9 each night, and i so nut used to hubby being home so late. he normally home by 5. the kids are missing him so much and are playing up at meal times. how a single parent copes i just don't know. i've lost all inspiration. Anyway over time has finished for a bit and hubby was home just after 7 last night. i was so tired i fell asleep on sofa just before 9 and slept trhought till 7 this morning.

Hubby was fantastic m, put all luandry away , packed the suitcase for our holiday tomoz, done the washing up , sorted the cats out. so i'm feeling like i could take on the world now. well just the housework but thats enough.

Kids have woken up in a really good mood. i think it cause they got to spend some quality time with there daddy last night. hubby finished at 4 tonihgt, gonna feel odd.

Not much O/S going on here today, as i'm sorting out what to take away with us. But i have make a chocolate fridge cake and will make some sausage rolls later. as were staying in a caraven and i want to take stuff with us to cut down on spending while away.

brekkies this morning will be toasted muffins with butter, followed by fruit, strawberries, banana, apple and grapes

    lunch , ham sandwiches

Tea , not quite sure think i will use up whatever needs using up.

i made a gorgeous sausage casserols last night, not quite sure how it turned out so nice , but it was scrummy.

Hope everyone is going to have a fab day.

    Morning everyone

    No work today :j :j :j

Have loads to do. Every room needs something doing so my plan is just to start at one end of the house and work through it. Once I get started I will be fine but I seem to have lost my motivation this morning

Ironing pile must get tackled as well. It's getting out of hand

I have a ring that I got at Christmas that a stone has fallen out of so I need to take that back to the jewellers. Don't know if that will be done today though.

    Have a good day

    Bye for now :D

CATOWEN 11_2_104.giffor your DD, poor wee thing. I hope chatting to the teacher helps sort things out for her.

Just been watching the news on BBC and seen :money: talking about a new car insurance scheme launched today. They charge per mile travelled, changes amount by distance/road travelled on/time of travel etc. He says it looks good for now but if the entire industry adopts it then maybe not so good.

Well, having finished making DD1's packed lunch she promptly woke up and came downstairs looking awful, poor chook. So all 3 kids home with mum today . Oh its all good fun.

Gotta go, bit on compost on BBC now - LOVE COMPOSTING!!!! (saddo)

CATOWEN Has your school got a friendship stop? Our does it looks like a little bus stop and kids who havent got anyone to play with go there and they play together. We were worried at first it may cause bullying but it hasnt the kids love the idea and alot of kids go and stand there so they get to play with new people.
Also we do a buddy system where kids who teachers pick up on get to choose a buddy for the week and they work together in class all week and help organise playground games (playground friends is another thing our school do, kids in the higher years are trained to start off team games in the playground, they all have their own baseball caps so the younger ones know who they are )
