How tight is that - hardly encourages good service.
Lots of times I have heard from different people how poorly the staff get treated by Managers - no wonder the staff are so grumpy. Customers can be extremely rude/abusive as well !
I don't understand the point of this, its not Morrisons being generous and offering bogof, half price...... It would make more sense telling the customer its on offer so that they feel they are getting good value for money and that the company is honest/trustworthy!:j :j0 -
If I have missed a BOGOF offer, the checkout staff have pointed it out to me in the past. Maybe it varies by store/manager/etc. Or maybe I got the rebel cashier!

I very rarely shop in Morrison's simply because i collect air miles through Tesco. I have to say the one in my town is actually the best for fresh fish, it is far better than Tesco, its amazing and the staff are so knowledgeable and helpful too. The store is clean and tidy, the staff are no different to the staff in Tesco where i shop, they are smartly dressed and polite and genuinely friendly. I do realise that stores will vary from store manager and personality of staff but i really do not have any complaints about them. If I am in town i will alway pop in and see what they have especially in the cooked chickens or the fresh fish, the cream cakes are very tempting too lol I apologise to anyone who fell y other posts a bit harsh but I stand by them a council estate does not mean a dragged up dirty common person, that intimation is grossly unfair.0

I have a degree, I have a professional job and I live on a council estate (i bought an ex councilhouse). Some houses here have been bought, the majority are still council owned tho.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

Can I just remind everyone that this thread is a vent about the service at Morrisons.
Personal remarks about other members, and comments about the type of people that live in different areas are taking the thread a bit off course, and don't look too good.
Please keep the thread on topic.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: While it’s easy to wander off-topic that often prevents newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see this rule). Yeah, it's crazy in Tesco for that.
What is the point in reducing stuff if it's dearer than the BOGOF offer or their other offers.
At one time Tesco really did reduce the stuff right down, worth buying it, now very rarely is it more than a few pence cheaper at best when it comes to items reduced that were originally BOGOF or 2 for £5 etc.
I can remember joints of pork and lamb being reduced down to a few pence per KG! we took everything bar one joint of pork and one joint of lamb as there was a person behind who wanted some too! We have 3 freezers at home my uncle 2, so we filled them. other items used to be reduced down to 5, 10, 20p etc. Now it seems they would rather throw it away at the end of the day and have to pay for food stock to be destroyed.
Come on Tesco, if you are going to reduce items, at least reduce them to less than what the BOGOF offer is.
The Co-Op and Somerfield still stick the the offers even on reduced items, at times paying you to take them!
For example in the Co-Op they may have fresh chickens for £2.99 and then BOGOF, but have reduced them too. Co-Op tills take the original reduction from the price you pay. I've been in where for example to clear the items, they have reduced them down to £1. So you buy the two chickens at £1 each (£2) and then the tills take £2.99 off, the original reduction for the BOGOF, therefore they have given you £0.99 for buying them.
We are lucky we have a Co-Op within walking distance, so always pop in, just to look for offers, we will even buy items we don't usually buy or need, just so they can pay us! We also pop into Somerfield. We do our main shop at Tesco along with Lidl, but always check Co-Op and Somerfield first, as although the Co-Op and Somerfield aren't shops you can do a full shop at, due to their way too high prices, getting reduced priced items they are great for. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Are you having a joke? Watchdog cover things were customers dont get what they have paid for or were things are happening that are illegal. At what point does someone pay for their shopping with Morrisons and then have half of it taken away or somehthing like that? Or are they selling you something and promising it then not giving it to you? I think you are a little to green to say things like that bud. Lets report then to trading standards and the EHO's of the local authority too. In fact I am sure the tannoy at tesco gave me a headache the other day so I think I maight sue them for that. How much further should I go?
As for M being a textbook bad business case then I did not realise to be classed as bad you had to make a profit and grow a business. These are in fact the only points that almost all business theories agree are factors of a sucess.0
