Morrisons

Options
Just got back from Morrisons. They have chicken fillets £5.99 BOGOF but they've been reduced to £2.99, which I thought was a good buy. When they went throught the till, the BOGOF wasn't applied, supervisor was called and the response was, BOGOF's don't apply to reduced items. When I pointed out that the reduced price was now exactly the same as the original, she shrugged her shoulders and referred me to Customer Services. CS clearly knew the problem cos she was actually getting my refund out the till before I spoke! This has happened several times apparently; managers are aware but do nothing about it. If I'd had time, I'd have asked to see one.

Not happy.

So how many packs did you buy? Were they on the reduced shelf or in amonst the others? If they were where the signs are etc then they should have been on the buy one get one free and from the reaction of the customer services they knew what was happening and were probably hoping that noone picked up on it!

Didn't I hear a report last week that Morrisons had moved back into profit?

Now I know how they've done so!
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • they were in the reduced section but had a big sticker on the front, buy one get one free. I took 2 to the checkout.

Ah right then they should be on buy one get one free unless there was any notice round the reduced section that said multibuys dont apply on reduced items.

  • there weren't any signs. What's really p*ssed me off about it is everyone up to the Manager knows about it but no one does anything about it. Now I'm getting more wound up!
  • I've had this problem in Morrisons too with some bread rolls. I had a 10 minute argument with an old battle-axe on the customer service desk before she eventually gave up and gave me my 20p! Why do they bother? Nobody is going to try it on over 20p!

I had this exact same problem. My dad and I were doing a spot of shopping at the same time and saw a BOGOF on chicken breasts. When we got to the counter dad got charged for the pair. He was extremely P'd off so went to customer service, we got passed from pillar to post before finally ending up speaking with the manager of the department. He gave some crap that is was because they didn't have room to put the chicken anywhere else. I then pointed out that they could take the strips with the offer on from the ends of the shelves after he claimed they couldn't be moved. All you had to do was slide it out from the plastic at the end.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
  • everytime i got into morrisions i get over charged in some way or another. dont know why i bother going in anymore

Just had to add this though cant find the link to the picture.

Our local Morrisons had some of its letters unilluminated last week - when you went by at night there was no 'ris' in the middle!

Rather apt name if you dont like Morrisons!

Went to Morrisons the other day and could not find the dried fruit. I eventually found someone to ask who said they had none in stock. What! with Christmas coming as well!

I could not believe it! What a way to do business!
