Its probable they can tell via the internet, but if there is no phone and no internet (so you cant use On-demand) then there is no way to tell where the box is. The boxes dont have GPS and even if they did they cant report where they are anyway!

Because they do not post much and they probably didn't realise how much it would effect your day?

But more likely because it was already an ongoing thread spanning four years.

That's rather a problem elsewhere on the forum as well. Personally, I think old threads like this (particularly as they contain very out-of-date information) should be automatically closed to new responses after a given period.

Anyone finding these threads through the forum's search function could easily be prompted to start a new thread if they want to start a discussion on the same topic.
