How can I report this

They have to draw the line in some situations.............and in this situation they are considering that the consession will be given to wheelchair users only.Hi I am after a bit of advise, I have just rung up a compnay, who I will not name at this moment, to ask if they offer a concession rate for disabled people and carers. She said they do so I asked what evidence I would need to bring along. She said I wouldn't have to bring anything as the wheelchair would be enough evidence. I said I was not in a wheelchair. She said they only class people in wheelchairs as disabled so me and a carer would have to pay full price. Surely she can't make the assumption that you are only disabled if in a wheelchair.
I want to report them but I don't know what to do, can anyone help
To now go on about their medical expertise and their assumptions and so on is being awkward for the sake of it.
You are obviously not a wheelchair user. You dont fit their criteria for a consessiion.....so why make such a fuss?
Either go there or dont go there but noone has done you any harm.
Oh, and I notice you havent named this company.......which seems strange if you feel they were so appalling in their treatment of you!0 -

I think that's very valid point. It would be interesting to know if it was a possible in this situation.LittleTinker wrote: »They have to draw the line in some situations.............and in this situation they are considering that the consession will be given to wheelchair users only.

If that is the case then they should list their concession as being available for wheelchair users. Citing it as a disabled concession is misleading and wrong if indeed the disabled cannot use it.Herman - MP for all!

But of an assumption there! Some people with other disabilities may not be able to full enjoy all the attractions either.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

The OP has 'suddenly' come across this problem, with a company she doesnt want to name and so soon after the long thread about the Zoo and consessions.....strikes me as being a little bit 'odd' to say the least. Its not the first time either.0

Neither can some people with other disabilities.
Ok, forgive me as I'm a bit brain dead this morning
but I can't think how other disabled peeps wouldn't be able to get into an attraction?
I reserve the right to be embarrassed if this is blatently obvious.:rotfl:Herman - MP for all!

All disabled people have different mobility needs. I have balance problems and can't go down stairs without help.
Because I'm also visually impaired, I can't always use many of the attractions.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I understand that but being visually impaired doesn't affect you physically getting to the attraction iyswim.
I was thinking more along the lines of there maybe being a narrow gateway or a physical actual barrier that would prevent a wheelchair from getting past and that people who didn't need a wheelchair would be able to. Hence the concession for wheelchair users as they would not be able to access everything that others could?Herman - MP for all!

But not everyone will be able to access that either.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
