How can I report this

Not really.
Does it say that they have to consider all disabilities for a concession? I still believe that they can set their own rules for a concession.
how rude - OP wanted to know who to report it too - i found the information they wanted. let them decide it the law has been broken.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Does the OP need a carer to be with her at the place she is on about?I would imagine that common sense prevailing should you need a free carer for whatever reason that they would be only to glad to provide one.
I don't know about others, but I wouldn't be happy having a stranger taking me to the toilet.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

My youngest son wouldn't even acknowledge a stranger....if a stranger tried to touch him or help him in anyway, it would be complete screaming abdabs and fingers to the eyes (the strangers eyes that is).We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
nothing to do with you...just think that the poster is making something out of nothing...what are the facts in this? what was truly said and how was it said?

Rather than look for faults maybe we should be applauding the fact that they care enough to make the effort in the first place.
Well I am awfully sorry to have asked, charmed i am sure.
If a company is advertising discounts / or free entry for disabled/carer, then tell the OP they did not sound disabled, i for one would want to chase this up. - If you are disabled wouldn't you?0 -

Yes I do need a carer to be with me and no they are no 'only glad to provide one' free. I can't beleive you are praising this company by saying they are prepared to help those who are disabled. I AM disabled and they are not prepared to help me. They don't care enough at all, the fact is without a carer I cannot go out, people in wheelchairs are not the only people who need carers.0 -
i just feel that if you so sure of the wording that you should name the company involved then we can see what they have to say on the matter..at the moment we only have your side of the story and we need balance to realise a full picture of the alleged actions of the company you refer to but not by name..If it truly was like that you should name them and let them then put there side across..until then we only have your word for it don,t we?
I'm sorry but I'm really confused with your posts. I doubt very much that the company would come onto MSE to defend themselves plus if the OP was to make a formal complaint to name them here could damage his argument.
I really don't see your point about balance; the OP came here for advice and guidance on how to proceed with this complaint. If the events were not as described then the OP would have not come and asked for help. They have no reason to lie especially as the name of the company has not been given so there is no need for them to put their side across. We should be helping the OP not accusing them of fabrication or exaggeration.0 -

How can you not see the need for balance?there are two sides to the story and that is a fact. There is always the chance that the conversation was misunderstood and that being the case the other party has to be able to put their side across.Chances are that the conversation was recorded .So there is every reason for the PO to take the matter up with the management and to clarify what was said at the time.Loyal to those deserving!!.0 -
Last word on this from me ..it is hardly a big deal at the end of the day and if the OP wants to take it further then get on and do it..me i have other things to worry about like my son in Afghanistan...so get on with it.though i suspect that nothing will be resolved at the end of the day..Life is to short at the end of the day to be arguing over such trivia in my opinion.
We all have the right to our own opinions.Loyal to those deserving!!.0 -
Some establishments offer disabled concessions primarily because certain disabled people cannot access parts of that attraction because of their disability. This may be the case in the place you are talking about - eg disabled people in wheelchairs cannot fully enjoy all the attraction has to offer so they offer a concession. Other people who have disabilities that does not involve them being in a wheelchair may be able to fully enjoy all they have to offer...therefore no concession. Just a thought .....I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

A strong worded letter to them and stipulate that you will not be attending their premises ever!
