Had a look how much I can get for my Nokia 5800 - £84 at fonebank.com
Although my taxi driver this morning did offer to buy it... don't think he'd fork out 80 for it though...
Can't wait to turn it on!
Getting £140 for my N97 from Cash4phones.0 -

Unusable.. whilst this phone is well put together and has all the hardware you'd want, the poor software on it has really tainted the experience.
Right now the phone is off, I don't know why it's off, but every time i turn it on and start ovi maps this happens.. nightmare..
I'm glad I didn't pay for this, I hope there's a software update coming soon. Really Disappointing
I've not had one problem with mine. In fact, it's been one of the best behaved phones I've had and I've had a lot. It's on another planet compared to the poor N97.0 -
I went in to a few phone shops yesterday to see if i could get a case for the N8 as I had one for my 5800. Quite enjoyed being told "it's not out yet" to which i replied "well I've got one"
O2 shops have got cases for it. Bought one today for £6.99 which is not bad considering it's an official Nokia case.0 -
got mine yesterday, took an age getting everything set up. anyone got voip working? i have the nokia plug in installed but sipgate is only working one way, i cannot hear anyone but hey can hear me!!
also, there seems to be a t9 bug, it keeps adding the wrong letter (not one thats even close!)
Anyway, is anyone else registered on any mobile forums? as already mentioned, i expect this thread might dry up once everyone has their handsets.
you can find me on what mobile magazines forum as Rich_uk and on the nokia message boards as Rich_Enduro. pm me over there if you wish to stay in touch

I may have come across this, but I figured I was just hitting the wrong key by accident since the layout was a bit different to what I was used to. But maybe there is a problem? When pressing the letters on the "3" key, I quite often end with with some of the letters on the "6" key, if you know what I mean. But that could just be my fat fingers!:DNorthern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -

I've gone from an N95 8GB to the N8.
I have to say i've always been put off by touchscreen phones but I am really liking it.
I've not had a problem yet. The constant connecting to the internet was annoying but I managed to sort that.
Just a little question though, does the button at the bottom of the phone keep blinking for anyone else? I assume this is normal as it only does it when its dark but I'd like to know if I'm not alone with this.0 -

If I may make a suggestion. I'm not sure what the screen surface is like on the N8, as I've only looked at a display model because they're not available from retail outlets yet, but as soon as you can, get yourself a screen protector. Within 2 days I had a couple of noticeable scratches on my N900. Was gutted:(
You'll get used to the touch screen in a short time. The best bit is when you pick up a none touch screen phone and try to use it;). I find myself stabbing the screen of my N95 8GB like a demented chimp before I realise.
I think the light at the bottom is a standby light. My N73 had one that lit the whole room up at night. My N900 has also got one that acts as a missed call/SMS notification as well. Not sure if the N-8 one does the same also, should say so in the manual.0 -

This is a breathing/notification light - go to settings, phone, notification lights and then set breathing light to on/off & notification light to alert you to missed calls & messages
Hope this helps.0
