Does anyone find it going slow if left with about 4-5 applications running at the same time ?
works great with lesser applications open, which is right for me( typical count is 2-3 at any time).

Finally got my my N8 a few hours ago.
Not really had much time to have a proper look at it because I'm at work.
but YAY for free phones!!

Someone was asking for a review so here it is: the phone is rubbish, feels unfinished, hangs, crashes all the time, sometimes with a message saying "phone will restart" "insert sim card" most of the time with no warning at all. Unusable.. whilst this phone is well put together and has all the hardware you'd want, the poor software on it has really tainted the experience.

Right now the phone is off, I don't know why it's off, but every time i turn it on and start ovi maps this happens.. nightmare..

I'm glad I didn't pay for this, I hope there's a software update coming soon. Really Disappointing

Oh dear pal, looks like yours is faulty have you contacted nokia???, mine seems to working like a treat not faults as of yet, enjoying the phone
Any1 else having trouble with theirs??

Try a factory reset and see if that helps. Note: A factory reset, not a complete format!

Has anyone tried plugging the N8 to their pc and used OVI Suie????
My OVI Suite doesn't recognise the device (it is the new version of ovi suite (2.2)).

I went in to a few phone shops yesterday to see if i could get a case for the N8 as I had one for my 5800. Quite enjoyed being told "it's not out yet" to which i replied "well I've got one"

You have to add the device first before it will recognise it. Go to Tools>Add new Device.

Before my phone turned itself off,

now it cannot be turned on.
