Ive never heard of this, so just looked it up and discovered that its something I made a few months back thinking I was being really original and that I made it up myself!! I didnt know it was already an established dish.

This spicy pork mince is a favourite in our house:)
Serves 3-4
Cooking time 25-30 mins

6oz long grain easy cook rice
8oz potato diced (skin left on)
2 tbsp medium curry sauce
Salt and black pepper
4oz mushrooms quartered
5oz frozen peas
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander (optional)
In large non-stick pan or wok dry fry the mince until changed colour, about 4-6 mins. Add onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 mins. Add stock, rice, potato, curry paste and season to taste. Bring to boil and simmer for 15 mins. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for approximately 5 mins until rice is cooked and water absorbed.

I have very generously been given by my gran, wait for it - 8kgs! of minced beef.
I myself don't eat mince, so it's only my husband who will be eating it.
I want to have a 'cooking day' and get it all prepared into meals, instead of just freezing the lot into portions.
Unfortunatly for me i can't think besides the obvious what to do with it. It's alot of meat so i don't want it to be samey.
I can think of -
Cottage Pie
chilli
Mince and onions {for pies, stews etc}
burgers
meat balls
bolenase
meat loaf maybe? {the only type of meat loaf i have made was haslet, so would need a recipe}
ummmm as you can see not very varied...help!

You haven't mentioned lasagne, or what about stuffed pancakes or canelonni or shish kebabs? The different herbs and spices should stop it tasting too samey.
