I Don't Wanna Talk to Talk Talk

I have to block phone calls from Talk Talk because I am fedup with their sales patter, which is usually 90-100% inaccurate.
I am, supposedly, on their DO NOT CALL list, but they keep calling. My Truecall unit should block them but they seem to find a way around my block with nefarious phone numbers, such as 0448009886009 and 0498009886018.
Each time they call, I ask them to remove me from their call list but they fail to do so. When I signed up for Talk Talk and said I did not want marketing calls, but some callers claim they are not marketing anything, simply doing an account review!
They wany my address, date of birth and mother's maiden name, but why should I tell them? After all, they are calling me! If they call again, I will ask the polite lady for her full name, address, phone number and date of birth. I bet they will swiftly cut off the phone.
They have already called me twice this week!

There was another thread about this recently.
Link and advice here:

Hopefully, I have now found a way to stop Talk Talk from calling. I have given them a new contact number - one of those 070xx personal numbers - a number that goes direct to voice mail. You can get one for free from FLEXTEL.
If TALK TALK decide to ring me on my Talk Talk number instead, they will be in for another surprise. I have set up a security question (on the Talk Talk website) which reads: "Do you accept marketing calls from Talk Talk". The answer is, of course, NO!0 -
Are you happy with the service? That would annoy me so much I'd move suppliers. The problem with telecomms providers is that you can't really get away with giving them a fake number! I'd make one last ditch to talk to a manager in their customer complaints department about my preference settings, and if that didn't stop them, I'd take my business elsewhere (making sure they know the reason)."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Talk Talk are the only phone provider providing unlimited calls to 0845/0870 numbers. My job means I call 100+ such numbers each day!0

Hmm, difficult then. Are you self-employed?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Are you registered with the TPS? If so make a complaint to them.
If not, you may be able to complain to the ICO since you have (repeatedly) asked Talk Talk to remove your number from their list and they have failed to do, which potentially breaches their obligations under the DPA.0 -

The second may well work, but the first won't. TPS won't protect you from companies that you have business with and have provided them your number. That's what preferences are for but they seem to be being ignored. That's what I'd pursue, directly with Talk Talk."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
If you put your complaint onto the TalkTalk Members Forum (accessible from the TalkTalk webpage) then TT users and TT staff will see it.
It should get picked up by one of the TT staff and actioned. If it doesn't, then you will be able to continue complaining about their lack of customer care, in full view of other customers who read that forum, until they do act.
There have already been several complaints on the forum about this already, and it seems that corrective action for those customers has resulted.
It does not excuse the lack of concern exhibited by their staff in the first place though.0 -
I've been called by Talk Talk. Here's my rant:

I put my complaint on the forum just over a week, no response so far!0
