I am getting sick to death of Talk Talk ringing me every other day. How many times do I have to say "I'm not Interested". I just wish they would Shut up Shut up.
I am, by the way, registered with tps but talk talk seem to ignore it.

I don't believe anyone pays 30 pounds a month these days purely for broadband. What you are getting is a cheap crappy service as an add on to your phone and TV services no doubt.
I'm on a phone/broadband package for £30; amended my post. 500kb, though? Again, the hassle of switching to another provider and being passed from pillar to post is the only thing keeping me from leaving these imbeciles and signing up with a new one.0 -
Talk Talk were phoning us last night.
We'd been with Tiscali for ages, as it was the best deal- since the merger with Talk Talk the service has descended rapidly.
They were calling to ask what we thought of their new, improved service!
Will maybe switch to Sky or BT...0 -

emmell, are you an existing customer of Talk Talk? If so, then they can still call you regardless of TPS. If not, then report them to TPS, using the Complaints link on http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/. Have you told Talk Talk you're registered with TPS? They are breaking the law if they continue to call without your permission."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

They ring me too! they are a law unto themselves as ive said in other posts they dont listen when you tell them your not interested! They dont listen when you tell them numerous times your registered on the TPS register!
Infact when they learn that your TPS registered they get nasty with you! last time my mum answered she told them if they rung again that we would report them to the tps they had a go at her on phone told her they were simply doing their jobs and there was no need to threaten them with legal action.... what part of we are registered on TPS dont they get?
all my mum said was we are TPS registered, we do not wish to keep receiving these calls which are going against the TPS rules and as she had tolds several others that day she wanted our number removing off the list or we would contact the TPS service.
we have sick relatives and we need to be at the end of the phone if they call and we cant be if Talk Talk keep ringing and making a nuisence of themselves.
even if we hang up they ring straight back
!!!!!! the lot of em!

Good post! The TPS is beginning to sound like a rip-off if cold-callers still manage to find a way through. Nice little money-making scheme, convincing people that they won't be plagued by cold-callers anymore yet doing very little to prevent it from occurring. Can't say I'd advise anyone to part with their hard-earned for this service. You might be better off cancelling it if it isn't working. Talk Talk calling back multiple times would have me yelling at them to !!!! off!0 -

Who exactly do you think the TPS is a money-making scheme from ? You clearly don't know anything about the TPS if you think you have to pay for it as a consumer - it's free to use : http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/0 -

Ah! Isn't there a service you have to pay for that supposedly blocks you from receiving cold calls, though? I must have confused that with the TPS. People airing their grievances with it made me think they must be paying for it and feeling hard done-by.0 -

Not sure about that one, but the MPS and TPS have always been free, their costs are covered by the junk mail / cold call companies. maybe a reason there why they aren't always the quickest to act or why companies feel they can ignore them...0 -

I used to get a lot of nuisance calls like that, I tried shouting at them which didnt work, I tried sticking the phone next to a loudspeaker that didnt work, nowadays I just say 'hang on a minute' put the phone down and walk off and make a cup of coffee.
That wastes more of their time than it does of mine. When I walk back to the phone 5 minutes later they have hung up0
