I was hoping the camera would have the quick access buttons as shown on various youtube vids but I assume those were without the Sense UI.
On the whole still looking look.
Download was very easy, took about 15 minutes from start to finish.
Only downside was despite allegedly saving my settings it had not, which was no big deal and has allowed me to rearrange all my pages.
iplayer works fine, but no app just a bookmark?
Sky record is easy to set up and may well change my viewing habits.
TV catch up now seems to work as well.
Battery life looking better but we shall see.0 -
i found out one big cause of the memory problem i was having which i had mentioned in this thread and on the money saving apps thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=35299689&postcount=77 .
i have now deleted the neilson app which allows you to earn money for providing usage patern of phone data. the app itself is badly designed and although slightly more than 1mb in size initially, after a little more than a month of use its data had swelled to a bit more than 40mb:eek::eek: and it stores it on internal memory only and no way to transfer to sd card even with froyo update and was now taking up 1/3 of available memory on my htc desire so deleted it. good idea but but lousily designed software by a worldwide leader in market statistics so uninstalled as i prefer more internal memory than money for feedback!
now i have 48mb to start gorging on apps again :T.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
The only issue I have found with the update so far is about 95% of my album art has gone
but that is not a big isssue.
As for Sky's Remote Record ... how do I get the official app on the Desire, I only see references on their site to using it with an iPhone.0 -
The froyo apps to sd is supose to be very poor. Not many apps can be moved to the SD at the moment and not much space is saved once they are moved.
You have to remember that it's the app developers who have to program their apps to be able to be moved to the SD card. It's not HTC or Froyos fault. In time they will change their apps as more and more people get Froyo.0 -
On froyo I have noticed that app killer is not killing the apps properly.
When I kill the apps and then reopen them, it goes back to the last screen.
Does this happen to everyone?
I have found this.
I keep finding apps restarting all the time even though they have been killed.
Also if I am in the browser. Kill it, then go back in, it is still on the last page I was on, and I can go back through about 8 pages of history even if I have cleared the history cache. I restart was the only way to properly clear it.
This didn't happen with eclair.0 -

Search for "Sky+" in the marketplace. The official app is published by Sky and the icon is the Sky logo with a small white 'R' in a red circle in one corner. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

It's dissappointing though that official google apps, like maps, that use a lot of space can't be moved to the SD card yet.
So far the only ones I've been able to move are,
Barcode Scanner
c:geo
Jewels
Wifi Analyzer
Hopefully app developers will start updating their apps now. It's my problem, it's my problem

There are some reports of improved battery life but some people have suggested it uses more power. Personally I haven't noticed any difference.
I may be mistaken but I'v ejust charged mine off a USB port on my laptop and it seemed to charge quicker. Not sure how that could happen though. It's my problem, it's my problem

I'm always quite amazed at how quickly mine charges (still on 2.1).There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
