Can someone tell me how I can transfer apps I've already downloaded on my phone to the SD card?£400+ in my £2 coin tablet fund0

If you have froyo, then go to menu - settings - applications then after selecting each app you "may" get an option to move part of the app to SD card, if the app developer allowed this to happen. Or try the other route mentioned by others in this thread with a link to the xda forum thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742379bubblesmoney :hello:0

the roll out was phased over 2 weeks i think.
i remember reading somewhere today on xda that it is on hold now, to iron out a few bugs as told by htc to someone who posted at xda. so might take some time before they roll it out again, dont know how long. also dont know if people who already got the update will get the new froyo version where the bugs have been fixed. dont know what bugs but there must have been something for them to put the roll out on hold. mines working fine with a few minor issues already covered on xda forums.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
Video playback at 720p seems very jumpy, hopefully this is something they are working on.
'Chrome to phone' is amazing.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
I have a fairly old G1 and the battery is getting worn out - for this reason I recently removed all the facebook, myspace, weather bug widgets from the home screen and both the performance and standby time have improved immensely. So my advice is to only run stuff that you absolutley need - I really don't need to know when my friends are taking a dump etc, and I can see what the weather is doing by looking out of the window
widgets take more power in my experience as they update live data. so if you want to get more battery life and dont need to know when your friends are taking a dump :rotfl: via facebook updates (i am not on facebook  as i dont like them owning my photos and not being able to delete them ever from their servers and them being able to use my and my childs photos in anyway they wish) the delete widgets from home screens as they use up more power. when you want to know which friend took a dump that hour then you can always access the facebbok program from the all apps/programs menu! so you can save power and know when your friends took a dump when you want to know!
change settings of all apps to conserve power. after froyo update by default all apps and widgets went to default settings and things like facebook update frequently and use up power and data. so watch out for those big data bills.
i love the power control widget where i can switch off synching just with a push of a button and over ride all the apps trying to access the net and decide when i want them to access the net. since the data connection is still on by this method i can always get emails that use the push method where the server pushes the data to my phone and hence synching being switched off by power control widget doesnt affect me getting email updates. i have over 8000emails in my yahoo and another similar amount in my gmail and also access my work account when i need to but not set it to push yet as been lazy on that front.
i love this froyo update for many reasons but there are some minor niggles which will be there in everything and one major niggle the "apps2sd-the froyo official way" which is crap but still a lot better than the prev apps2internal memory carp, but because of that i have to forgoe installing great apps like google earth (i think the android froyo version beats the desktop version hands down in terms of speed and general slickness and wow factor) and also copilot live etc and many other huge APPS.
the best thing i like about froyo is it has massively improved my speaker volume and clarity both during calls via earpiece and also via rear speaker and now i can listen to music at 3/4 volume  which was unthinkable earlier and can easily hear the music even if phone is in another room or my pocket and notifications from sms, gmail and yahoo might now be loud enough to scare the neighbours cat where as earlier if i was out and about i might not have heard most of the alerts. i have never tried the earphones but might check out the ear phones today and see the fm radio and try to record some FM radio off the shazaam app and may try to record it to my music collection. music for free officially allowed as radio can be recorded legally just like tv broadcasts can be recorded legally for personal use as far as i am aware.
i have consequent to the remarkable improvement in audio volume and quality with froyo upgrade been listening to music overtime the last few days on my desire something which i havent done for a long time, i had a few old ripped songs and instrumental music from my old CDs and also things i recorded from TV and radio on my archos 605 and moved a few of those files to my desire. i have to figure out how to painlessly and effortless compress the video files recorded on my old archos605 via the docking station which allowsd me to record tv and radio or my sky output and watch it at my leisure. i think my archos records it at dvd quality and have to figure out how to compress it so that i can get it to a sensible size to put on my phone, right now some 8h of videos recorded off tv on my archos becomes a couple of GB so not great to put it on my desire. Would be great if HTC designed a dock which does all that my archos dock does like recording live TV / radio or set it to record at predefined times and stream over wifi out of the box.
wifi streaming can be done via free and paid apps available on the market (DLNA / UPnP / FTP / bluetooth etc) some such apps that others might want to explore are- EStrongs file explorer (media on ftp, access home pc, bluetooth, explores phone and pc, downloaded it, will check it out but has great reviews) http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.estrongs.android.pop/
- twonkyserver mobile (share music, photos, video on your phone with your home network, most UPnP and DLNA certified as well as xbox, not sure if works on froyo, downloaded it, yet to try it out) http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.pv.TMS/
- iMediaShare for android (share / stream to xbox, ps3, DLNA certified TV eg some sony and LG TVs, wifi network) http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.bianor.ams/
- there are few others (ftp apps and bluetooth transfer etc) that i have downloaded cant remember their names, will update if i get around to trying them, i havent got around to trying these apps out yet but some have great reviews from others, so check it out and give feed back here as well. Please do name other such useful apps here so that other desire and android users can benefit from these free and paid apps as well.

'Chrome to phone' is amazing.
frame rates for any 720p device will depend on light levels, if light level is low then frame rates will be lower as i understand it. my 720p home videos look great even under lowish light inside my home and is not jumpy at all even when i shoot videos of my daughter running around. infact sometimes the videos on 2.1 were jumpy and had digital artefacts when moving the phone, now on 2.2 the autofocus and antishake compensation (guess it must have that as video i shoot sometimes have a bit of shake in them previously on 2.1) is great and have not noticed even one artefact yet and no jumpiness on my phone. even while streaming youtube HQ quality videos on 3g there was no jumpiness at all and even my iphone using friend was stumped seeing the quality of the HQ quality videos being streamed over 3g connection at work (like i was when i saw the quality at work) and said she might consider buying an android phone when she upgrades soon. but she is also buying a ipad for her son because he wants it, think he has an iphone too like her and both have apple laptops and other laptops too. dont know what they do with so many portables. wish i had so much money to throw around!bubblesmoney :hello:0
