i found some apps that move all apps that can be moved and group them together so that you dont have to wade through all the apps that cant be moved. these sort of apps might be useful if you have over a hundred apps like me (all freeversions legally obtained from android market and other websites) , check these "apps 2 sd" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd/ and "SDMove" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.beaglebros.SDMove/ , there are a few others too. on initially getting froyo and needing to move loads of apps, these might be useful, am not sure if these will be useful later too when you wont have to move that many apps.
also check out "aspotcat app" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.a0soft.gphone.aSpotCat/ that keeps a lookout for apps that have permissions that can cost you money, although it points out system apps that have access to these features as well, but worth a look and am using this app now.
aTrackDog(sd) http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.a0soft.gphone.aWatchDog/ finds newer versions for apps installed on sd. "aTrackDog" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.a0soft.gphone.aTrackDog/ finds newer versions for apps on internal memory. these might be useful for tracking nonandroidmarket apps and apps that you deleted but have copies on sd card. the following might interest some of you too http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/org.moparisthebest.appbak/
also check out "android system info" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.electricsheep.asi/ and "quick system info pro" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/org.uguess.android.sysinfo.pro/ if you want to know system stuff not usually accessible in settings menus.
and "SDrescan" http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.bero.sdrescan/ for quickly updating system apps to recognise newly transferred files after transferring them to phone or sd card in case you phone apps cant find them after transfer, no need for rebooting phone just use the "SDrescan app" and your apps will find them afterwards.
ps: you can scan the QR codes (funny looking squares) with your barcode scanner app http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.google.zxing.client.android/ or google googles http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.google.android.apps.unveil/ and directly download the apps from the market and no need to type anything.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

I'm wondering if my issues are due to the class of the memory card inside...
edit: just checked and seen its a 4gb "class 2" so think this may be the cause.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

i remember reading somewhere today on xda that it is on hold now, to iron out a few bugs as told by htc to someone who posted at xda. so might take some time before they roll it out again, dont .
thanks, I checked today and it was there for me! only took about 5 mins to download and install so pretty painless0 -

mine is a class 2 card too, i dont think thats the reason. what type of 720p video was it. try rockplayer app (free) for videos and see if it plays ok. see bench mark testsdone by many people, there is not much difference between class 2 and 6 in practical terms for most phones.

speeds on a phone and a computer will vary vastly. it is the phone speed that matters as the limitation factor is the access port of the phone and not the card speed! see the speed difference for the desire and the galaxy s in the charts for the read speeds as a case in comparison for why i say the phone hardware socket for the card is the limitting factor and not the quality fo the card for all practical purposes. so dont waste money on a class 6 card or even a class 4 card, just buy a class 2 card from a good company. In many tests on many forums a class 2 sandisc beat a class 10 kingston in user tests posted on forums i came across previously.
class 2 or 6 is for write speeds and most users like us need read speeds usually which is limited by the device and not the card.
i remember seeing another post testing the hardware ports for writing and reading, but cant recall where though and even that article said class 2 from good company should be enough as limitation is the port rather than the card.
people having both class 2 and class 6 cards please check out the free app mentioned on page 4 of the link and do the test as suggested after changing buffer size to 80 and see if there is much difference between the cards and post the results here.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

go to settings menu and synching section and select synching for google related services. also from your home screen go to your apps/programs main menu and scroll down to 'talk' app this is the google talk app, click on that and launch it. if talk isnt launched then android market can give errors. sometimes when too many apps are running if android program management shuts down the 'talk' app the you can have such interuptions. just restart the 'talk' app and switch on synching for goole and related services in settings and you should be sorted.
for three network, i found the apn is unselected after froyo update (it might be the case for other networks too), just go to menu > settings > wireless and network > mobile network > access point names. then select your network APN and go back to home screen and you should be sorted.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
Just read elsewhere that Vodafone are releasing 2.2 in '7-10 days time.' It seems they're also removing the bloatware carp they forced on everyone last week.0

Bubblesmoney, I was playing back stuff I had recorded using the camcorder app.
Going to see how it plays on my pc as maybe problem occurred when it was writing to the card.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
Hi all, after a bit of advice. I've recently bought a htc desire on payg from o2. I'm in the process of changing to giffgaff. Will this affect my ability to be able to get the froyo update when it is available on o2?
Sorry if this is a really dumb question but i honestly don't have a clue!
