    Now comes the bad bit!

I had 16mb before the update, then had to delete 13 apps to make more space for the update. The update is massive even bigger than old HTC sense. Then I tried the apps settings which now gives options to save to SD for some apps (depending on what the app dev allowed) which allowed me to move to SD card some bits of a grand total of 7 apps. I had to delete huge apps like the HTC IME mod etc to get space. But after all that I still have 13 apps less than before but only 8 mb left unlike 16mb before. This bloody apps to internal memory android crap is doing my head in, if not updated soon again or don't find work arounds then time to root the phone and get a proper apps to SD option available for root users unlike the crap dished out with froyo presently. Annoyed that this HTC sense gives me even less space on internal memory than the !!!!!! 140mb allowed before on the HTC desire. Aaaargh.:wall:

The froyo apps to sd is supose to be very poor. Not many apps can be moved to the SD at the moment and not much space is saved once they are moved.

Had mine a few hours ago. Smooth update took about 20 minutes (after a 20 minute download over HSDPA) :D

Not sure where everyone's space is going. I had 59mb of internal space free before the update, and have 55.55mb free after it.

I was wondering this too, my free internal space seems to have increased marginally since the install?

Not increased but fairly constant. Within 3MB certainly. I had to remove Google Earth and took off about 28MB of apps I didn't use as it was good opportunity to tidy it up, but before that I had 24MB remaining and I now have 59MB.

Just done the update on mine now.

Took less than 15 minutes (including download via a WiFi to 5Mb connection) to complete.

Is it just me or is the bar you drag down for unlock when you push the power button now slighty higher up the screen since the update or am I going mad!

Having noticed the bar being in a different position on mine.

The only issue I've had since updating was that when I tried to type anything into google it threw up an error regardign the HTC IME Mod. I fixed it by clearing the cached data for it though.

I've only found three apps so far that I've been able to move to the SD card. Hopefully though more apps will be updated to enable them to be moved.

I have to sya the interent seems lightning fast on mine now.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

dont forget to enter the video camera mode and enter the settings menu on that and click reset to default. because if you dont do that then i noticed that the video camera setting stays at a lower resolution present on the old version, once you set it to default it increases to the 720p setting which you get it with froyo.

do the same with the camera settings to default too and then change anything to what you want again.

i deleted the widget i had downloaded for ringtone/mute/vibrate from curvefish from the market, i deleted it as now we get the profile widget from settings menu and this achieves the same as the curvefish widget.

i also deleted the Desire LED flashlight widget i had recommended previously as now there is no need for that as the froyo sense version has got a flashlight app preinstalled which works fine just like the Desire LED flashlight app. actually i think the Desire LED flashlight app is better but i uninstalled it due to lack of space as froyo version has the same features anyway.

dont forget to install the wifi hotspot widget from settings menu if you use other gadgets that need wifi access to internet like your laptop or ipod or archos or any other devices if needed.

there is a new Places app preinstalled instead of the google places directory that i had downloaded from the market earlier.

    latitude app is also preinstalled.

there is also a new 'videos' app preinstalled that selects only the videos in your albums unlike the earlier version where photos and videos are clubbed together.
