You have to remember that it's the app developers who have to program their apps to be able to be moved to the SD card. It's not HTC or Froyos fault. In time they will change their apps as more and more people get Froyo.bubblesmoney :hello:0

I have found this.
I keep finding apps restarting all the time even though they have been killed.
Also if I am in the browser. Kill it, then go back in, it is still on the last page I was on, and I can go back through about 8 pages of history even if I have cleared the history cache. I restart was the only way to properly clear it.
This didn't happen with eclair.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

it is googles fault for the way they designed this in froyo. if some part time software writers on xda can write better software for the apps to sd which allows users to control the installation, then it is googles fault for making this crap apps2sd and leaving the app developer in charge of where it gets installed on someone elses phone.
You can install most apps to the card if you follow this guide. It doesn't involve rooting either.

Anyone else noticed an email sync issue with second accounts? Worked fine under 2.1.
Basically my personal google mail account is the 'primary', due to the earlier issue with Google Talk authentication failing with Google Apps accounts. The primary syncs fine, and email sent to it arrives a few seconds later.
I've got the Apps account as a secondary, and it refuses to sync. If I hit 'refresh' in the Google Mail app, emails come through, but they won't on their own. Well, they have twice and for seemingly no reason, but generally will not. Anyone else experiencing this??
HTC Technical Support were unaware. A brief Google search suggests issues with the Froyo-Sense ROMs and similar experiences... they're going to ring me back hopefully.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
Do something amazing. GIVE BLOOD.0 -
To jump back a few steps to the OTA updating process, my understanding was that if a handset had software version 1.15.405.4, then it was sim-free, unlocked etc. and would receive the HTC stock Froyo upgrade OTA without having to wait on the carrier to push it.
I am on Virgin Mobile and my handset is version 1.15.405.4 at the moment (the only virgin branding is a splash screen after the htc splash when booting the phone). However there seems to be no update available for me when I manually check for it.
I also tried doing this over wi-fi only, with the virgin sim card taken out, but that didn't work either. Will the OTA upgrade be rolled out carrier-by-carrier, even for unlocked phones? My understanding of the OTA process is a bit shaky - does the phone look for this on HTC servers (using either the 3g or wifi connection) or does it get pushed to/from the carrier's servers?
Froyo sounds awesome. The biggest feature I'm looking forward to is the wifi hotspot so that I can use my phone to feed my laptop and ipod when I'm out and about.0 -

Task killers are alot easier by using a widget.0
