Just one thing im having a problem with is in Market place i could see all my app downloads but now since the update the download bit on market is now empty does anyone know the reason why and also when i download new apps does it give you a choice to download to SD card?0 -

Just read somewhere else that you need 25mb free space to install it. If it doesn't install, try deleting a few apps first.
BTW, I'm not jealous. No, really I'm not. Can't you tell...

Froyo updated on my desire. I did the update on 3g hsdpa connection on three network (unbranded unlocked phone bought in may from three). It is a 90mb download, so do it over WiFi unless you are desperate for the update like me. You need minimum of 25 mb free space of internal memory for it to download. Mine crashed midway as I had only 16mb left. So I had to do it all over again after deleting many apps to get the space. Working fine now. Also make sure you are plugged into a power source to avoid problems while updating. Use the external power rather than a computer usb port as it may cause problems as during update it automatically shuts down and restarts a few times.
Every thing working fine including the market. My data connection did not work, I had to go into mobile network settings and manually choose the three network APN setting, everything was fine then. Seems a lot zipper now.
New widgets for WiFi hotspot , ringtone, app share, and profile available now. Checked WiFi hotspot htc app both my friends laptop and iPhonespotted it instantly and it is a protected hotspot.
Android version 2.2
Baseband 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20

Build# 2.09.405.8 CL218634 release-keys
Software version 2.09.405.8
Browser version webkit3.1
Off to explore the new features now.

Got it now. Playing about with it but seems great. I had to unstall Earth to do it for 25 MB space. Took 15 minutes but brilliant, watched the F1 on BBC website on my phone.0

hi,
iam on three uk network, after the update i cant access the internet by my mobile!!(wifi is fine btw).
Could some one tell me the what setting to change.

Just tidying up the phone to free up storage for the download!0

On froyo I have noticed that app killer is not killing the apps properly.
When I kill the apps and then reopen them, it goes back to the last screen.
Does this happen to everyone?0 -

I had the same problem as well. I have mentioned the solution in my earlier post as well. But will mention the solution in detail now .... go to menu - settings - wireless and networks - mobile network - APN . Then select the three network option under the APN settings. Go back to home screen and you can use internet now via 3g connection as well.
Looks like maxtweenie answered the query before mebubblesmoney :hello:0
