Does Natwest still put 'Servicecard' on? I got a new RBS debit card the other day, and it's a £100 CGC, but it doesn't say 'Highline' 100' on it.

RBS group are phasing out the "ServiceCard" branding, but I thought it wasn't starting to January 2011

Our cards over here in N.I say ServiceCard for Cheque guarantee, and DebitCard for the ones without them, we got a leaflet to say that the wording was being removed from them from next year.

My HSBC card must definitely be an offline card, as it got accepted in the pay@pump machine.

Sutton, which are the first six digits of your card?

Mine are 4659 43

My Barclays Connect card (New style but still comes up as Connect Debit), works in pay@pump. Does this mean it is a offline (Not full authorisation card ?).

What type of account do you have?

...Is it the Cash Card Account or full Barclays Bank Account?

Just the Cash Card Account as I have a full account elsewhere but just wanted to keep things separate and did not want a cheque book as I have that on my other account. So was quite surprised it worked.

my bad didn't read due to haste.

Of course, you have an advance account. Wikipedia states:

4659 41 - HSBC Bank (UK)
4659 42 - HSBC Bank (UK) Visa Debit Card
4659 43 - HSBC Bank (UK) Visa Debit, NO Cheque Guarantee
4659 45 - HSBC(UK) Plus Visa Debit Card
4659 46 - Debit cards by First Direct (UK) - Division of HSBC UK

Yours is the plus, now advance, card. Mine is the no CGC but have not tried yet at Tesco Pay@Pump

I was surprised when opened a new citibank account and the card they have sent has £100 CGC :j

Borderline. I got two personal full current accounts and one business account within the last two months, but my credit cards are from subprime companies and have subprime limits.

Within 6 to 12 months I will go for a Halifax Clarity card based on my Aqua card history (same underwriters) and if I get the Barclays Initial (I have a pending appeal) I plan to upgrade it too after a few months. Then in six months I will try the HSBC credit card based on internal score (they declined me for the card and an overdraft shortly after opening the account).

Why do you ask?
