Does anyone know about the 4757 Santander if its fully authorised or not? (also the 4921 Lloyds and 4227 o2 money)

    4757
You should be careful with this card its in a league all of its own. Its a Fully authorised card and will always be authorised at the time of purchase.

But santander has a policy for its accounts called "instant Overdraft" and even if you don't qualify for an overdraft they may, and usualy do allow small transactions less than £10 to go through if you don't have the funds available, and then you will get a £30 charge for using your card when the funds arn't available.

    4921
Not sure which card this is, if it has a large 2012 logo in the middle of the card its offline. If it only has the 2012 logo in the top right and nothing in the middle its a full auth card.

    4227 is full auth
  • I quite happily burnt my Abbey Account last year, they were never a great bank anyhow but since the spaniards took them over they are truly dissmal!

Still dont know about this Nationawide card suppose I will have to start using it and find out that way :)

Mine too. AFAIK, 4751 27/28 are full auth cards and 4751 29/30/31 are offline cards (Natwest anyway, I know RBS's numbers are slightly different)

I have 4751 28 with my savings account and 4751 31 with my current account

It looks exactly the same as the one for the cashminder, plain blue, and it says current account in the top right corner. its visa debit

4751 is not significant to anyone it is the allocated number for the whole RBS group, which includes Natwest Ulsterbank and Coutts.

With Natwest you can tell if your card is full auth its Blue. With RBS you can tell because the Full auth ones don't say Highline 100 on the front. With Ulsterbank you can tell because the full auth card says DebitCard instead of service card. And all coutts cards are offline.
