New style TSB online banking

I have several TSB accounts (including a couple of Vantage accounts:money:) and usually find the online banking service one of the best in my experience, but they have changed it, and I hate it:mad:. It takes longer to navigate to the statements section as you have to choose 'mini statement' first, which is a pain. Im also disapointed that they havent fixed the dropdown list for the password, it still only goes down to 's'...might have to change my password to just include letters from the first 19 letters of the alphabet!

Im sure given time I will get used to the new layout, but the thing thats the most difficult is that they have changed the order on the statements, now the last transaction is at the top, and not the bottom, so it feels back to front and I find very arkward to follow.

Does anyone know if there is a way to default this to the way im used to? (rather like when you do searches and can do cheapest to most expensive or expensive to cheapest?)

Afraid not. It is the new look!

Some (me) have still not been migrated and are still on the old style online banking.

    Darn it!

I also have an A&L account, and its always been like it on there, and ive never got used to it, which is not such a problem as its not my main current account, guess I'll have to persivere, as the TSB ones are my main accounts:(....at least TSB are up to the minute with their balances...A&L balances never tally!

I was initially a bit dismayed by the (too) large graphics but, apart from that, I find it's better than before.

You don't actually need to choose 'mini statement' first, you just click on the account name, like before, and everything is there in front of you, including the full statement. But the mini statement is useful, as normally it's only the last few transactions I need to know. And, once you get used to it, having them at the top makes a lot of sense and saves time scrolling down.

There is one annoying thing with the new interface: when you enter a bill payment, to send it you enter your password and hit 'Enter'. The password disappears but nothing else happens. Now you have to actually click the 'Continue' button with your mouse. Hope they fix that.

It does seem to be slower navigating, however, my main gripe is with the new transfers and payments, I have about a dozen payees set up to various accounts in my name, with the new list it's very difficult to work out which one you're paying as they all appear the same, except for similar account numbers and sort codes, I'm pretty sure the old list used to include a reference which did give a clue as to which one your paying, annoyingly the confirmation screen does include this information!

I haven't used it enough to say how well it works but it does look very pretty!
Shame that they are so unhelpful that I haven't used my account in years.

I hate that when you print it you get it on pages and pages now. (I am talking about printing it off before the actual statement is produced), and there is loads of space between each transaction.

So which bank has the best online service?

Do any of them show pending payments that had not yet cleared? With A&L if I made a number of card payments in a day or two, all I can see if the net balance. A quick phone call to their CS would allow me to know how many and how much each was for. If they have that info on their screens, why can't I have it on mine? Even if it doesn't display the payee until its cleared!

I only realised how crap A&L were for online banking a couple of months ago when I had to print out statements for a specific purpose only to be told that the couldn't accept them as there was nothing on them to identify who they belonged to (no name). I thought, no problem, I'll show my bank card. Unfortunately the numbers had faded through 2 years of use and couldn't be picked up by their scanner/photocopier!

When you think about it, cards are very poorly designed, in the fact that very rarely do they last the 2, 3 or more years they are valid for. In my last job I often had to take payments over the phone for customers and the amount of people who couldn't read the numbers properly because they were worn out lol.
Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.

Does anyone know the best way to provide feedback to them about the new site? I was hoping for an email link but couldn't see one anywhere.
The new site definitely feels slower. Also, I don't like the statements being ordered with the most recent transaction at the top. Interestingly, my credit card statement shows the most recent transaction at the bottom. Not exactly a consistent approach to web design.

Anyone know why I still have the old online banking? Do they not like me? :-)
