    Having the same problem. Just logged in and my current account shows N/A and Unavailable. Clicking all the other pages give no results.

    Just called A&L and the woman said this is affecting many customers and will hopefully be resolved in a few days (by the sound of her voice it sounded like a blind guess)

    Not happy at all! I moved to get away from Abbey around 7 months ago, they are following me like the plague! If this continues for the next week/2 weeks I'll be changing banks.

    My account was unavailable via the internet for one day 4 weeks ago. Since then...
    • All my DDs have worked with no issues
    • My salary has been paid in successfully
    • The wording has changed slightly on the telephone system.
    • The transaction details on internet banking are a bit more verbose
    • I've received my first Santander statement. It's quite clear and details everything!

    Thanks sweep, just the reassurance I needed.

    Anyone else got any positive feedback?? Really starting to wonder whether mine will "migrate" successfully.

    I have had all the payees reinstated from the ones that were part of the switching service when I moved my current account in FEB 2009!!! I didn't realise they stored that sort of detail for so long. Why are they reinstating them anyway?

    Only oddity I can see is that the last date paid and amount paid in the direct debit list are now all blank apart from one paid today. Plus some long obsolete ones have been resurrected.

    same here presumb the dates will be imput when new payments go through after the migration, fingers crossed

    Logged onto my account tonight and got the update message

    Everything seems fine except for the presentation of the account numbers as explained in the message

    Salary due to go in on Thursday so hope that is OK to!

    I finally got through to A&L earlier and it seems everything should go through ok - plus my mum had her account migrated a little while ago - she wasnt even aware the sort code had changed and she says all her money has been coming in and going out absolutely fine. So fingers crossed all is ok...

    One of the advantages of the A&L account is that you could make cash withdrawals over the counter at a Post Office, whereas Santander do not offer that service (except for the basic account).
    Does anyone know, once transferred, if that facility still exists?

    Hi,

    my problem is that Santander couldn't work out how to take a DD from my A&L account, and have blocked my Zero card, and charged me for the pleasure (had that refunded). The block is automatic, and they can't remove it manually. It takes 5 days, and as I'm abroad tomorrow this card is now useless.

    And I've not been able to log-in to Santander, but A&L on-line banking is fine.

    I have spent a total of an hour on the phone to Santander today and yesterday, and although the staff are trying the system is just not working.

    Seems like they've not got this change-over right at all, I'll certainly be switching away from my Santander Zero card, and possibly the A&L current account as well.

  • A&L accounts migrated to Santander last few days. Some improvements ie Transfers between accounts appear straight away but Faster Payments in just have the Legend

    FASTER PAYMENTS RECEIPT 316845306001727001

    or other number and not where they are from - previously I could move money from my A&L business account and the "reference" I entered there appeared on my private account entries. I rang them and they said it wasn't an error and therefore didn't need changing but they would pass my comments on.

    So if John Smith sends you some money how do you know it is from John Smith??
