I have just been a le to log in and I now have a Santander sort code, but in my direct debit list there are 2 for A&L:o
Very confused now, going to have to ring them, I have a Premier savings account, you get 6% interest.
So wondering if they have put that on a DD?
Getting fed up with banks now....................

I'll save you a phone call. I asked them the same question after I got migrated over and those new DDs are for your (my) savings account and ISA (fu*k knows why apparently they're used for when you make transfers. More complications than necessary if you ask me).
Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.

  • Lucky you guys! I still can't log in!!

  • I've just noticed that my A&L sort code has been changed to a Santander sort code. Does this mean that I'm going to have to notify my work that my bank details have changed or will they still be able to pay me? Also will it affect my DD's?

Very unimpressed with all of this, looking forward to changing my account to Halifax or Nat West!

You don't have to do anything. The old sort codes will work. No need to change anything (except for getting rid of Santander entirely lol).

Well, it's now 26th and I've logged in as usual and I still don't have access to my mother's account that I operate (and have operated for years) with a registered Enduring Power of Attorney.

So, I have replied to the reply they sent me saying that all would be integrated from today and am now anticipating a stressful time on the phone.:wall:

I have just logged in and been changed over but all the direct debits show as blank for last payment date - is everyone else's the same as that? I assume the next debit will come out as normal?

My experience is that DDs are OK & that Faster Payments will be faster after the 1st payment to that payee. (see previous postings in this thread).

HOWEVER...have just logged in to my account to find "Balance unavailable".

    (shakes head in frustrated disbelief....again).
