how to stop loving someone and let them go

It is brutal maybe - but if you start to look for another man there is a chance that you will forget about the present.
Love can't be compelled but you should try to help yourself.0 -
Do your children become bad people when they do something they shouldn't? No, of course not, and you don't either. It was a silly thing to do, and you know it wasn't the right thing, but you are still a good mum, and your boys need you to be strong and stable for their sake. Just promise yourself you won't do it again, and move on, make today a more positive day. Do something today that puts a smile on your face, even if it's just for a few minutes, no matter how small it is.
I would second ecgirl07, very sensible advice.

Print what ecgirl07 has said and put copies of it all over your home.
I know so many of us are seeming harsh now, but it is because we are really worried about you.
Our sympathy hasn't helped you break the pattern of self destructive behaviour you have gotten into. So now we are being brutally honest with you. I hope we have shocked you enough into wanting to break the pattern yourself.
YOU CAN DO IT WENDY, C'MON GIRL, YOU ARE WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN THIS.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

What's done is done. You can only move on.
You need to draw a line now and say this is my life now.
There is nothing you can do to get this man back and everything you try makes the situation more difficult for you.
Right, thats that. Done. We aren't going to mention that again.
Positives for the day.

Start faking happiness, and eventually the real thing will start creeping in a little more every day.
this is such good advice.
start acting as if you would if you had the strength.
don't do anything stupid. i know of a woman who tried to drink herself to death to get back at her husband / get attention. she's now permanently disabled and deeply regrets her actions.
ultimately we are all alone in this life. learn to like your own company and others will learn to like it too. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
