Wow all that for a couple of clubcard points. You really must be desperate for them.0 -

I rarely spend more than £1 at any one time, so this is the only way for me to get points. If you find my post helpful please press the THANKS button.0 -
Thought it was just me getting annoyed at this.
Good to see I'm not alone in my insanity.0 -
Just in case anyone wants to take their PMT out on Tescos (*holds a malteaser at arms length to Lillibet*) the Tesco website has this to say on the subject of green points:
"As long as you're helping the environment by not using new carrier bags, we'll give you Green Clubcard Points in return."
It's from this page: http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/greenpoints/ so you can print it out and say "Excuse Mr/Ms Checkout lady I would like my points becuase as per Tesco policy I am not using a new bag therefore I am entitled to my points"
I hope that helps someone!
P.S. I've been poorly so I haven't read all of this thread yet, therefore if someone has already mentioned all of this, you've tried it, and it's gone hideously wrong, er sorry!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
My DH went to Tesco yesterday and used 2 new carier bags (I have to remind him of re-using bags!). When I looked at the receipt, he was given 3 greenpoints!
Why is it when I re-use bags I get 0 pts, and when he uses new bags he gets more than he should get? :huh:0 -
can i just add that i work n B&Q and customers ask for a bag for a small tiny bag of nails so now i dont even ask because if u assume they want one here like " hardly need a bag for that" then when u dont they stand there and look down there nose at u and snap " anychance of a bag". some people just cant be pleased imho!Hi, my names katrina and I'm a spendaholic!? Trying to save!?! still havent managed it!!0

I use my own bags but on occasion do forget to bring them and I am still awarded 4 points, even when I have only bought enough to fill one bag I am still awarded 4 points, I have checked numerous receipts and they all are for 4 points regardless of what department or who served me.
I can only presume that Tesco Cumbernauld have decided it is too much hassle for their checkout staff to think for themselves and decide how many points to award, it appears they are automatically awarded to every customer regardless of wether or not they have opted to use their own bags or how much they have purchased."As if by magic... the shopkeeper appeared."0 -
You should email tesco. This thread prompted me to, and I had a response resulting in 100 clubcard points adding onto my account.0

I used my Asda Tickled Pink bags and a couple of Bags for Life at Tesco's last weekend and received no points ... next visit, I went to Customer Services, explained, showed my receipt, was awarded 8 points (their lass said that was the max they were permitted to allocate per customer).
I recommend you go back and gently explain~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Personally I'm desperate for conglomerates like Tesco to make good on their promises & not use bully-boy or underhand tactics on their faithful consumers.Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
