Okay, having read back through a lot of posts it seems threatening legal action is the best way to go. Using the example posted previously I have sent an LBA to customer.service@mobileshop.com (their preferred address for emails to the cashback manager) requesting payment within 10 days. I'll update here when there is any action.0

You haven't read very carefully then! It's not a LBA - you have to send that by normal post. You'd better start again!0

I threatened to sue on Monday via their live chat. Cheque turned up today!0

I'd used Mobileshop before and didn't think it would be a problem.0

My previous mobileshop deal was a cashback with vouchers, which they paid promptly without any hassle whatsoever. I was very surprised when I began reading about all of the cashback hassles.
Regarding LBA's - does it make any legal difference whether you send in via mail or email? From reading some previous posts it doesn't look like you can prove they've received your letter anyway if RM do not get a signature.
Edit: I wouldn't use mobileshop again, obv. Nor would I look for a mobile cashback deal. O2 told me yesterday that no cashback deal is ever guaranteed when from a third party, which, if true, means any cashback deal is a shaky one.0 -
Mobileshop is not worth using now anyway in it's current state, much better using another site via Quidco etc. How they survived I don't know, perhaps they have a good business trade, but credit to them for not folding - unlike others.
Still take no cr4p, a contract is a contract. We have to abide and so do they.

No need to prove an LBA was received, but you may need to prove you did send one.
A copy of the letter sent will suffice.0 -

Glad to see that you will be giving them a wide berth in the future but I have always regarded cashback deals as being high risk because there never has been any guarantee that you will always get your payments. I just hope that I will get lucky and not be ripped off like so many others have been.0 -
If Mobileshop don't go bust you will always get your cashback via LBA or even just threatening to sue via online chat. The advantage of Mobileshop over E2save is that you can email your claims and they confirm via email and online tracking that your claim is successful. The t&a are also straightforward - or at least they were on my last contract taken out first half of last year. They even had a couple of 12 month free deals recently which I haven't seen in over a year.0

Email from mshop this morning telling me my cashback claim has been processed and should hit my bank account in 3-7 days.0
