It was a question rather than a statement; your 'I have to agree with that - and I actually hope you're right in this instance!' sounded like normally you hope I'm wrong. :rotfl:Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
You're too sensitive! It wasn't meant like that!0

Hi,
just had an e-mail from MS stating,
"We are pleased to advise you that your claim for Cashback voucher ****** at a value of £67.50 has been processed for payment"
Quelle surprise eh?
Who would have thought that a simple letter delivered today would have provoked such a response so quickly.
Seems to me that the louder you shout the better chance you have a getting your money.
I'll never ever do business with that company again.

I just finished with mobileshop & can report I got every penny in cashback.
Granted I did have to phone them bang on 60 days, but the cashback manager Samantha sorted it & I had the funds within 5 days in my account.
Happy days.
However, due to the recent problems I will not be getting another contract with anyone, i'm back on PAY & GO.0 -

Great news Tony, but I'm not surprised. Once they received your letter they had to re-act or face the penalties. It shows a letter holds far greater weight than an email.
I know with hindsight would never let a company be late more than 7 days before sending in a LBA, they don't let me be late by 1 day. With CNM I only allow them 3 days, but they deserve it.
What you have done has shown others how easy it can be.

Thanks Lynsey.Unfortunately for the past three cashback voucher claims I resorted to the old angry phone-call routine which did work but left me feeling somewhat uncomfortable with myself(no one deserves abuse) but the company's actions and tactics had forced me into that course of action, sadly.
However, with the last voucher claim I did believe that I wouldn't be able to make them honour their contract and pay me what I was entitled to. Frankly I was about to give up but your advice changed that because no amount of foot stamping was going to force them to make the payments IMO so without the letter there would have been no result.
Thanks again.

Hi,
Recently they got some problems in cash back. Now they are giving argos vouchers instead of cash back. Even I requested them to send my voucher but not received yet.
Thanks0 -
Tony, don't wait until the end of the week - do it today.
The problems with MS seem to be with the ones who are prepared to wait.
Send a LBA today telling them they are in breach of contract, give them 7 or 10 days to send your delayed payments and tell them that failure to do so will result in you sueing via moneyclaimonline for all missing payments plus all costs involved. I always tell them that any payments received after my deadline day will need to include costs and to wait until they are contacted by moneyclaimonline and act accordingly. Both myself and my hubby have had no problems whatsoever using this method, although it's annoying.
Hi Lynsey. I'm new here and I've recently have problems with MS.com as well. I'm wondering, when you said 'LBA', what does that mean? Can I have an example of what I would require to have a letter to them? Thanks.0 -
Welcome hanmin. A LBA is a letter before action. A final letter telling them that if they don't say pay a cashback payment which is overdue by a certain date then you will sue for the cashback plus all costs assosciated with recovering the debt.
