Mobileshop.com are probably the most reliable mobile retailer on the web. I've currently got 2 contracts on o2 with mobileshop and had no cash back problems. There is even a cash back section on their website thats allows you to leave feedback and look at the feedback from other customers.
You'll also get entered into their monthly prize draw. I was lucky enough to win £100 for the prize draw in August. Click on the link below:

I had a similar delay with my first claim, Mobileshop.com will send you an email with the expected payment date but you could wait up to 10 days after this payment date.
You've honestly got nothing to worry about with this company! See my previous post with the cash back link.0 -

I notice they have different terms and conditions for cashback claims depending on whether you purchased your handset before or after 15th May 2006...........the cashback waiting period for handsets purchased after 15th May has been increased from 45 days to 60 days.
That's a warning sign in itself.
It's safe to say Mobileshop are in financial difficulties.
There is no way this company is in finicial difficulty.......they featured on BBC News 24 just before Christmas last year. I had to wait almost 45 days after my claim cut off date this was 2 months after sending in my 5th monthly statement. This was within their T&C's.

Dear Scott *******,
We are pleased to confirm receipt of your cashback voucher 61501B
*Expected Voucher B Payment Date: 03/10/2006*
Providing all terms and conditions have been complied with, your payment will be processed within 45 days of the expiry date of your voucher.
Why is everyone going crazy on this forum when the emails that Mobileshop send clearly state expected payment date but like I mentioned in my previous post this could be later as mentioned above. All it takes is a few people to make untrue remarks and then everyone thinks this company is about to go bankrupt!!0 -
redux wrote:That is not itself proof of financial difficulties, and their explanation may be perfectly true. The fact that you find it unacceptable is your opinion but does not entitle you to adduce that as support for unfounded accusations.
Another mobile dealer is at the moment threatening to sue internet forums for links to other sites containing criticism of it. In that particular case, it does not make much sense that the dealer's own website has been offline for some time, which would itself give rise to alarm for customers, and I would not deal with them.
Until now, Mobileshop has been mentioned as one of the most reliable for cashback, its customer service is good, so your inference that they are misleading customers is over the top.
I have had dealings with this company you are talking about above in the county court...I'll edit my previous post.:money:0 -
yeah mulerider .. I have been paid out also in past .... suppose what the concern was is they were so good in getting money out on time , that any delay would raise questions ...Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

The reason I posted is to make everyone aware that Mobileshop are being slow in paying cashback. I have been told that this is due to technical problems and I hope my cashback appears shortly.
Mobileshop wait 45 days from the expiry date of the voucher, most of the claims are paid nearly 3 months after receipt. After such a long delay, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect them to be prompt in payment. They haven't even been proactive in contacting claimants about the delay.
Yes, they have a good reputation but these delays are knocking my confidence in them.0 -
The delay is clearly within their own T&C's, I received my payment nearly 2 months after sending my statement. This is how the majority of companies now operate. Which other mobile company has cashback feedback on it's website?0

I'm not complaining about the wait in accordance with the T&Cs - thats fine, although longer than some other companies, its the further 2 week (apparently) delay without any proactive notification that concerns me.
Maybe you're happy for people to hold on to your money without reasonable explanation (in which case can I borrow a grand??), but I'd rather it was in my pocket when originally promised.0
