    No need for legals for me, or even the threat of it.
    Twice now..... I've got paid this way..
    Last (final) cash back, due. July 6th (60 days)
    I write,
    "Oi, come along now... Payment due"
    they say "You want Argos vouchers, instead?"
    Me say, "No, me not want argos vouchers.. Same bank details as it's always been, come on guys, don't muck about..... Let's just sort this out"

    They write "payment being made this Friday"
    That was Monday I think.
    Cash received in bank account today 26th.....

    That's last 105.00.........
    Why is it a legal all the way to the wire for some and not for others, I dont' get it...
  • Had 2 vouchers outstanding 1 since 22/4/07 and the other since 30/6/07 thought i'd check it out and see if i could give them a push to pay done a net search for some tips came here.
    Used the live chat was very straight and told them that i had been very patient but unless they could progress my claim 2day i would procede with legal action 'carole' on live chat asked for my tel no. as she could not give me one for them and was called back within 30 mins to be told my claims are flagged high priority and would be paid into my account in 7 days. I wait and see but thanks for the tips i will keep you updated!!!!!;)

    thanks for this - i've got 2 overdue cashback payments from March & April (and another not yet overdue from June) - been emailing loads and getting the standard update reply - tried the live chat on Saturday (got Tracey) - got 2 emails today saying vouchers A & B would be processed for payment this Friday.

    Sent an email threating to take Mobileshop to court on Saturday 28th July, received an email today (30th July) saying the outstanding cash back would be paid into my account by Friday 3rd August.

    It seems this really is the only language they understand and I urge all those with outstanding cash backs to do the same.

    Here is my email if anyone is interested:

    Dear Mobileshop,

    PLEASE PASS THIS EMAIL TO YOUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT WITHOUT DELAY.

    I am writing with regard to my second cash back claim, which corresponds with my 7th monthly bill. I have adhered to all terms and conditions as outlined in the documentation I was sent. My cash back claim was received and processed by Mobileshop on 29/03/2007. According to Mobileshop’s T&Cs I should have received my second cash back by 28/05/2007. However I have still not received my cash back and it is now 61 days overdue. I have now waited a staggering 121 days from the time Mobileshop processed my claim to today’s date, 28th July 2007.

    As you continually choose to fob me off with nonsense claims about system problems, which quite frankly are irrelevant as you have breached the contract between us, I am hereby giving you 7 days to make a full payment of the cash back I am owed. If I do not receive full payment by the 4th of August 2007 I will begin legal proceedings against you through https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk.

    Also, as you are in forfeiture of the contract that exists between us I will seek payment in full for the duration of the contract. I will also add any costs involved in making the claim, enforcing payment collection and my time lost dealing with this matter to the total I am claiming from you.

    Have also sent mobileshop numerous emails and a letter giving them 7 days to pay me my money and have not even received any acknowledgement from them in any shape or form. I would caution everyone on this site to stay well clear of mobileshop.com unless you have money to throw away, they are incompetent and couldn't care less about the money they owe you. Be warned.

  • Just thought I'd add my twopenneth. Had my first voucher paid with no problems (although it was a little late). However, my 2nd voucher was received by Mobileshop on 2/3/07 and I still haven't been paid - I have now waited 150 days!!! I have also waited 96 days for my 3rd voucher.

    After reading people's success stories i have just been on to the live chat on the Mobileshop website. "Carole" just kept telling me that I would be paid, she just couldn't say when, even when I said I would be taking legal action if she couldn't assure me when I would be paid. I then asked to speak to someone in authority and I was passed to "Richard", the customer services manager. He told me I can expect payment in 10-15 working days. So I clarified that that meant I should have the money by 15/08/07 and that I would take legal action if I didn't have it by then.

    Fingers crossed.

    Looks like they listen to those who shout the loudest.

    i have now been no1 in a queue for twenty minutes on live chat, so that's telling me that if I'm no 1 and they haven't spoken to me in twenty minutes, that they must have all gone for a fag break or something. I tried chatting to "Helen" earlier asking about my cashback, in a non-aggressive manner, I may add, and she terminated the chat session. !!!!!!?

    Don't know what happened to my last post, must have dissappeared along with the staff from mobileshop.com. After being no 1 in the queue for 40 minutes they've now told me that the live chat is no longer available - how convenient! Definately do business with them again - or maybe I should apply for a job there - must be nice!
