Does anyone have a copy of the letter they sent to Mobileshop that resulted in them paying up that they are willing to share?

See my earlier post in the other thread here:

I sent emails giving a date in court actions would begin and in both cases I had the payment reached my account on the day I'd file proceedings. I'm now done with them.

But make no mistake I would have indeed filed a scc and in that case I would not have settled for less than all outstanding vouchers + costs + interests.

I really do not understand people waiting and hoping. SMC exist for this sort of thing - use them! How long do you think it takes to have bailiffs at your door if you stop paying your mobile phone bill? They come much quicker than you'd think!

More bad news is that it looks like cashback claims from Coolnewmobile are also heading towards the same way as Mobileshop.com.

Send the following to them on Friday following their usual standard response to my original email and have now just received the confirmation emails for my two overdue payments. Result. Just one to go now which they received on the 7th June. Don't think they will receive any of my future custom.

  • Hello All,

Well my situation is here :http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=5649376#post5649376

But, I e-mailed them last Thursday (05/07/07), giving them seven days. I have not heard from them, confirming reciept of the e-mail, or what is happening about it.

Anyone advise on what to do next. If they don't reply (but Friday morning say), what is the next stage?

    Appreciate any advise, many thanks

Take a look at the Mobile Outlet thread for how to take someone to court, there is a huge post on the first page.

Don'y rely on emails. they don't really stand up.

Send a letter by registered post giving them 14 days to pay otherwise you will have no other option than to recover this DEBT through the small claims courts. Inform them that thay are NOT trading within the T&C's of the contract. Tell them any payments received AFTER the deadline date would need to include costs in recovering this DEBT.
Both my hubby and myself have used these tactics in recovering recent cashback payments and ALL payments have been received.

    Best of luck,

I sent my 4th and final bill to Mobileshop.com by email on 3 July 07. After 3 reminders I got this today at 10:44:

    Good morning
We have received your 12 months bills and they have been processed, your final payments will be due on or before the 18.8.07

    Kind Regards

    Web:
    Direct:
    Internal Ext:
    Customer Services: 0845 3455000

and at 12:40 I got this:

**Part D flagged for high priority payment**
*Expected Part D Payment Date: 02/09/2007 to be paid with: Mobileshop
    Cashback*

I was hoping that they were getting it back together but this doesn’t look like it. I know it’s only a fortnight late but the fact they can’t agree on a date doesn’t fill me with confidence at all.
