Companies like The Link and Dialaphone are not fussy when it comes to cashback.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Both my boyfriend and I have had to chase them for all 6 payments we've received so far

That's my experience of them of late as well, and I'm getting sick of it. My conract has only a few months left now and I've already taken out a contract with CNM - hope they are better. I had to inform them I would take action if not paid in 14 days and have been told I will be paid this Friday - should know by next weekend if it has been paid. My husband has gave them until 4th May to be paid and hasn't been told yet if they are paying, just the usual garbage offering Argos points. He is more determined than myself and will take out proceedings without delay and luckily it's a lot easier now to do it online, we shall wait and see.

I've just sent an email to both the customer services team and the cashback team giving them until 4th May to pay too, so hopefully we'll both get our money.

I actually went back to the online chat this afternoon after I posted my msg above and said "Kylie told me that the delay in my cashback payment is due to your computer systems being down". The lady who I was talking to confirmed this was correct, so I then wrote "well if that's the case, why do I know of someone who has received money within the past two days?". She then told me that she didn't know about this because she didn't work in the cashback team.

She then gave me the phone number to ring, which I did (after I'd found the freephone one online - 0800 4585 560 if anyone wants it) and when I got through to the cashback dept, I got recorded msg saying they weren't taking calls. I'm 100% certain the lady who gave me the number knew his and was just trying to get rid of me.

My boyfriend and I are owed about £135 between us so refuse to let this go. Hopefully my email pointing this out will get my money to me pronto.

I'm getting more and more convinced that we are not going to get our money ever. I don't know what their technical problems are but how the heck can it take so long to sort out unless it is a bogus excuse on their part. Remember that this has been going on since last August/September when payments first began to be delayed. It is in the last few months where the cashback has evaporated altogether. They maybe trying to pay out the oldest claims first but I doubt it.
I think we mse'rs should make a concerted effort to contact watchdog about this. If a few of us did then watchdog may take it upon themselves to make it a crusading matter and warn off potential mobileshop victims from ever using this deceitful company which will make me feel a little happier. Either that or at least they will get to the truth of the matter. I may have nearly written off my losses but that does not mean I won't keep hounding them until they go bust or I get my money. So anyone with me on this or am I going to have to go it alone?

Hound them properly. I wrote a letter before action on Monday threatening legal action if payment wasn't received in 10 working days. The technical difficulties evaporated and I received an email saying my cash back had been processed for payment. Today the money hit my account.

If that doesn't work, follow through and sue them in the County Court via Money Claim Online.

(I probably shouldn't say this as I still have one cashback payment to go and I strongly suspect that their "technical difficulties" are really cashflow problems, i.e. technically they don't have enough money to make all the payments due!!)
  • I received e-mail yestrday saying my voucher has been processed for payment and will be transfered on friday(today)and should take a few days to get to my account, will keep you all posted.
  • I need another cashback deal, can anyone recommend a more reliable company? Or point me in the right direction? thanks

    BRIEFLY STATE ISSUE
I've been having the same probs...
"We can't make payments for the time being. Would you like Argos vouchers".

This was on April 10th. I them a nice email, saying come on guys, not handled well. You'll ruin your rep, which is pretty good until recently.
If systems are down completely this day and age, when are we looking at , days, months, years, ever, never?

    HAVE YOU RECEIVED MONEY?
Anyway, I received confirmation that payment will be being made on the 23rd, before |I received a reply to my "Come on guys", email.

Friday 27th, payment 105.00, duly appeared in my bank. This before the stated time on the mail of the 23rd. (payment processed, Friday, BACS, takes three days. So the BACS was made on the Tuesday)

I said to them, just cost you've got a massive pile of Argos vouchers..
Appallingly handled and my lastest/last claim receipt has a link in the email.
"Please confirm you want to take the worse deal of cashback, Please click here "
So they are VERY keen on the Argos voucher route......

    WOULD YOU TAKE ANOTHER DEAL
Would I take another deal from them (mine's just ended), mmmm not sure at the mo.
Pity though, for they have one of the best reps of the lot and trouble free till this latest fiasco.

    Yours.......

But if they were in financial difficulty, wouldn't they have removed their current 12 months free line rental offers?
