I have just got back from Argos. The card had been credited with the £110.25 as promised and was accepted in payment without any problem.

I've have also recommended Mobileshop in the past as they were very prompt with previous claims, but I too am now overdue payments on 3 different contracts.

I don't like the fact that it's impossible to speak to anybody or the standard reply to emails citing technical problems - it doesn't give a good impression and it is easy to understand why some are beginning to doubt the companies long term future.

However, like others in this thread I sent them details of the outstanding claims including how long there were overdue and politely requested payment.

Two days later I have received notification of imminent payment.

Not sure what the problem is at Mobileshop but if they aren't in trouble at the moment they may soon well be if they don't get their act together quickly - all these delays do nothing for consumer confidence and they may well loose a lot of prospective sales.

Further to the above I have just received the 3 payments (totaling £300) from Mobileshop.

    were they by cheque?
  • I am really worried about mobileshop.com.

I submitted my first cashback claim on January 19th and I am still waiting for the money. I have e-mailed twice and have received the standard technical difficulties reply. If they are in financial difficulties, then I would have to weigh up the possibility of losing all the cashback with downgrading my O2 tarrif to something cheaper each month.

It's amazing that a company with such a good reputation is prepared to treat their customers so poorly and therefore damage that reputation.

How many days late were the claims? when did you first submit?

I emailed them- my claim was 80+ days since submission and i just received the 'standard'reply

Maybe they are dealing with it in order- oldest claims first??

    I've been Money Tipped!
I've sent them a message tonight giving them 14 days to pay or I will seek to recover this debt and all costs involved in recovering this money owed.
My husband also has made a claim and threatened action, and they replied offering Argos points !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His deadline is the 4th May, mine is as above, 14 days from today.
I'll post again when I have had a reply.

Best of luck to all again,

    Lynsey

    Hi,

Two of the claims were just over 5 months (Nov) from date of claim, the other 4 months (Dec).

In my email requesting payment I also advised of 2 other claims that were just over the 60 day period (later claims of two of the above). No mention of these in their replies and no payments made. I will send email reminders for these in due course.

I can therefore only assume that, as medic1978 suggests, overdue claims are being dealt with on the basis of settling the oldest first.

Payments have been made directly to my bank account as per previous claims.

    Hope this helps.

5 months and 4 months were well otside their t&c's, you did well to let it go so far. Mine is just over the 60 day limit, which I believe is enough as they aren't trading within their contract, which I HAVE to.
