How did you speak to a member of the cashback team?

Was it via phone or e-mail. The only route now open open to communicate about cashbacks is to e-mail them. Usually they are ignored but on the odd ocassion I do get a reply, is a standard reply stating they are having "technical" problems.

I would also like to know how to contact the cashback team, my second payment is over 2 weeks late and have already submitted the third , £210 is too much money for me to lose, and still another one to submit, so advice as to next move would be appreciated.

    Hi

Chased up my overdue cashback got this reply

Thank you for emailing the cashback team at Mobileshop.Com.

We are currently experiencing difficulties with making cashback payments due to a technical problem we’ve encountered with our in-house computer systems. We are working hard to resolve this problem with our technical team.

We anticipate that our cashback payment systems will be operating normally in the near future when your claim will be processed. At this time we can not advise on payment dates.

We appreciate your patience and co-operation during this period and we will endeavour to keep you informed of developments.

I think this is the end of the road for this outfit

Funny how they expect the customer to "co-operate" when its their turn to deliver but when you send the cashback you have to do everything religiously or risk loosing your cashback.

Sounds like a fob off to me and to be honest I would be wary of any outstanding payments for longer than they have agreed in their t&c's.

They expect the customer to stick to their t&c's for casback they should also expect to stick to the t&c's for payment. Anything else is unacceptable and should be followed up with warning of legal action if they breach their contract IMO.
    ummm...

I got the same reply of them a few days ago when i chased my cashback, I agree it looks like a "stock" reply they are sending to all customers who are querying why their cashback has not been paid.

Spoke to the live facility and was told they no longer have anything to do with cashbacks. She said they're snowed under by emails (guess why??) and has no idea when they'll pay them. Just to be patient... Hmmm

I have read with interest thecomments on this forum and thought I would add to them as I was thinking about making a purchase with them on a cash back deal, this is the response I had from The Mobileshop.com, which certainly is very interesting to say the least!! I had read somewhere that another sister company had gone into liquidation but I am not sure if that is correct.

Please wait for a site operator to respond. You are number 1 in a queue of 1. Our Customer Service pages have answers to the most Freqently Asked Questions or for Cash Back enquiries see our Cash Back Help Centre or submit an enquiry online via our Contact Form. Thanks for holding.

    Carole:
Peter: OK thanks I just wondered how it would work as there has been some bad press on a forum on the internet regarding Mobileshop.com but more about a sister company of mobileshop.com that I understand has recently gone into liquidation.
Carole: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.
Peter: Ok I will wait for you.
Carole: unfortunately I cannot comment on this
Peter: NO comment is always a bad sign isn't it, perhaps I would be better advised to make my purchase at a reputable company like The Carphone Warehouse.
Carole: That again i can't comment
    Peter: OK
Carole: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Peter: NO thanks I think I have now made my decision
    Carole: Thank you then bye

It's not correct. B2B Mobiles (another company owned by The Mocom Group which also owns Mobileshop) recently went into administration NOT liquidation.

Two threads regarding this issue have already been deleted due to deliberately misleading information and potentially libellous comments being posted.

I'm not sure what response you were expecting from a customer service representative regarding this.

If I had the choice of CPW or Mobileshop I would go with Mobileshop but that's your decision. As I said in this post I will be using them for my next contract in May 2007.
