I agree with Dobie - the important thing is to stick with it. Try and make it as fun for yourself as possible, and then you won't mind doing it.0

I didn't get on with the game that came with the board, I found that the Biggest Loser game was easier for me to get "in" to and stick with. But I do agree that getting into the habit of doing it regularly is the biggest hurdle.
It's only a game

Unless I am losing my mind I cant seem to find the thread I started a couple of weeks ago asking for suggestions on how to use my new wii fit plus, I searched my profile too but nothing so I'm starting a new thread to update as other posters were kind enough to reply on the last one and I have used some of those suggestions:T.
Well, my new toy;) is one of the best investments ever:TI haven't lost much weight about 4 pounds now but then I was small to start with but there is a massive difference in toning, I wish I'd thought to measure myself before I started but I can tell by the difference in my clothes and I somehow have the start of a six pack:rotfl:I am amazed and love how you can fit it in at any time of day and I do it in my pjs;)dd loves it too she plays games and does yoga, its really helped her balance (she rides so this is important to her) and you can see the improvement each day, OH has had a go on the games and we really did have fun times:D I do a rhythm exercise to warm up, then about 20 mins of super hula and then 30 mins of free jogging, I do about an hour a day and have a calorie goal of 258 (a packet of crisps) I am eating much more than usual and loving it and without being too direct the super hula is supposed to tone your pelvic area as well and I noticed a big difference;)
I would recommend the Wii fit plus to anyone who is not used to exercise and wants to build up in the privacy of their own home and have a giggle with the family too and I'm only on day 13 imagine what I'll be like after a month:DThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
we have a Wii fit thread already running HERE
and your previous thread was merged with it to keep all the Wii questions in one place
it can still be found by searching your previous posts
I'll merge your above post into the thread later too

I have been trying to find the thread that gives the current cheapest place for wii fit - my (second) Gameon board is going back and being replaced by an official one (keeps losing connection - gave up half way through the boxing after I had to reset it at least 10 times!!). Could anyone point me in the right direction please. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Have been having a look round online, and it's pretty much 50:50 out there, so thought I would ask here.
Has anyone had any success with losing weight with the wii fit?
All replies welcome

Back on the train again after a monumental bad time in my life..... :T0 -
I just can't see how messing around on a Wii can get anywhere near proper exercise.
It's better than nothing but until the Olympic athletes start using it instead of a proper workout ill consider it a gimmick0 -
blue_haddock has a point but what I found from using it as part of a exercise regime a couple of years back is that you actually do different things to proper exercise.
For example, the hula hoop thing, that builds up a sweat and gets you slightly breathless, but I'd never performed that movement previously .
Like wise the boxing, and with the running, you tend to sprint on the spot which you don't do on a 10 mile jog.
Use it and enjoy it, it does help. Good luck.0 -
Yes I have. I used the free step and jogging. I used a riiser, which lifts the board up to proper step aerobics height, riiflex which is dumbells that the wii motes slot into and ankle weights. I used to do an hour of free step and 30 mins of jogging on it.
I was also on weight watchers and doing another wii game, step to the beat.
I lost a stone in 3 weeks. (Went from ten stone to nine stone):starmod:Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1189:starmod:0
