is wifi supported by giffgaff .. was reading an article and they mentioned this as giffgaff disadvantage "The one disadvantage of Giffgaff is the lack of wifi"??
I guess that that simpler meant that Giffgaff do not have an add on WiFi . Some networks have a WiFi bolt on that can be used if you can find that networks WiFi hotspot.
I have been using GiffGaff + Home WiFi + Free WiFi Hotspots .
The question has to be for comparison what networks throw in free WiFi many some or nearly none .

If people need to contact next etc then go to saynoto0870 and find a free phone number, 0800 & 0500 are not charged by giffgaff0

Hi everyone,
I have just joined giffgaff, in this few days that I have been with I`ve had few problems, 1st one is after porting my number (perfect on the day in the morning) in the afternoon I had no signal, & secondly after toping it up (£10 of goodybag= 250 minutes) it was showing 0 minutes 4/5 later, to get this sorted you have to EMAIL them, there is no customer services no (ie 150 for T-mobile) so you have at least 24 hours.
Great if it works and everything but not so good if you have problems, I think personaly I would get T-mobile for a fraction more £10.21 at least you get to talk to someone if you have a problem.
So if you have the patience to put up with that kind of service than it is ok.
I hope this makes you 2x before joining giffgagg, & hope this helps.

I think this is slightly harsh.
Yes, you've got a problem, but the reason GiffGaff is cheaper than everywhere else is because of their steamlined process.
The £10.21 you quote with T-Mobile is not like for like, you have to tie in for a 12 month contract and you only get 300 texts, and its not clear what the internet allowance is as it just says "-", although you do get 300 mins.
Good luck on your new contract, sorry to hear about your problems with GiffGaff.0 -
It just shows that we're all different.
I wouldn't phone a call centre if you paid me. I really wouldn't. I'd Google and Google till I found the solution or post on here and get the knowledge from the clever people.

350+300+booster is available for 1x£10 from the reseller chitter-chatter (or 600+500+booster for 12x£10)0 -

Bye Bye.
I switched from giffgaff to O2 simply because I got a better deal inc Cloud wifi access but had problems for days while O2 tried to sort out my number porting and internet connectivity.
OK, so I spoke to someone at O2 but either way I had issues that took some time to resolve. If it had been the other way round then an email to giffgaff would have been the option.
Once my 12 month sim only contract is up with O2 I'm going back to giffgaff as I admire them for what they are doing. You only have to read other posts about the hassle they get with other phone companies due to contract issues etc. You don't get that with giffgaff.
You get a good honest service at a competitive rate. Good for them.0 -
You get that with any payg Neil, giff gaff o2 3G is pants, better on Orange or 3 for 3G and or cheapness with 3 All in one & Orange Extras - Niff Naff like 3 did with contracts in 2003 redefined payg charging, its certainly not the best now on charges & it has the worst 3G of all the big 5.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

Giff Gaff is Brilliant! i've never had a problem to date but i have to say they have had a few bugs the past few days from which i've heard are all fixed!
they have a great community, they reward you £5 per friend you get to join PLUS unlimited calls and text to other giffgaff users and most my friends are now on giffgaff and in 3 months earned £130 for joining them and also i get to call them all for free! I use about 10-15gb on the internet per month on my phone (iplayers and streaming) and i get all this for a tenner a month and already earned my next 13 months phone use from recommending friends.
overall i think its the best for people who are heavy internet and text users0 -
I was on a £15 a month simplicity rolling contract with 02 with unlimited internet. Just moved to GiffGaff on their £10.00 PAYG goody bag...Sim card arrived in 2 days, Number took about 36 hours to move across but was pretty seamless. I'm surrounded by Wifi most of the time, but when I've used the 3G I've found it to be generally good.
Thumbs up from me!!!0
