Have to say have been impressed with giffgaff, calls are as clear as anyones, txts have been sent straight away, mobile internet is as fast as T-Mobile Im using, free 0800 calls are a great idea as I can use 18185 to call international at very cheap rates - cyprus for 1p landlines and 5p mobiles for instance. Free calls bewteen giffgaff phones are also a useful feature.
Im well happy - and you can get £5 for referrals :j
i would check this out access numbers to call over providers to make calls via your phone is from what i last learnt about giffgaff is against there terms. the free 0800 numbers is for just making calls to and not meant to be used for using other provider services. i would be careful with it incase giffgaff says its against there terms.
giffgaff is good for internet if you have a deacent o2 network in your area. thats it really. calls and texts rates and packages you can find cheaper.
if you use phone mainly for calls and texts have a look at asda mobile, vectone mobile, lycamobile and the new network called NOW mobile. they offer better competive rates for calls and texts. nor do they charge the hefty 20p a min to 0870 and 0845 calls.
i would weigh up what you do with your phone first if its web fine giffgaff may cater to your needs. but if its just calls and texts there are cheaper.0 -
Are Vectoe Mobile's UK landline calls at 1p temporary? I know Lycamobile's is (looking at the t&c's).
Without bundles (because most only last for a month)
ASDA - 8p/min (mobile/landline), 4p/txt, 25p/MB, 8p/min voicemail
GIFFGAFF - 8p/min (mobile/landline), 4p/txt, free mobile internet (until dec2010), 8p/min voicemail
VECTONE - 10p/min (mobile), 1p/min (landline), 4p/txt, 10p/MB, 5p/min voicemail
These I think are the best three, although Asda v Giffgaff - the mobile internet is the difference.0 -

giffgaff voicemail is 8p/call not 8p/min I've seen no where in the terms and conditions where it says you can't use 0800/0808 access numbers on giffgaff0

LOL
Despite all my good comments about giffgaff, I've gone for the T-Mobile offer and I'm leaving them.
I asked for my pac code and received it in an hour.
Cant knock giffgaff = super service & great offers (just not as good as the t-mobile one on the 10th Oct 2010)0 -
Giffgaff announced today.
The free internet has again been extended until the end of Feb 2011.
I will have had free internet on my phone for 14 months by then. Can't be bad.0 -
