    Who? Giffgaff or 3?

I'm curious as my Giffgaff sim arrives tomorrow. Can i set something up so that is automatically applies a goody bag to my account every month?
Apparently they're implementing that in April.

It might say you can't tether, but they can't actually tell if you're doing it or not. It's just iPhone's that have this odd special way that they can decide not to allow.

Given T-Mobile have just changed there unlimited Data to 500mb from 1 or 3gb I suspect GiffGaff will be putting a limit in place soon.

If they don't they'll be the only unlimited internet supplier on the market and will be getting all the heavier users move to them, theybe forced to limit it or lose money as they did with unlimited voice minutes.

Yep! Nothing is forever. Watch this space. (Remember the Nationwide advertising about no charges for using their Debit Card overseas when they were the about only bank who did this?)

At least you can move to another provider after the month rather than being forced to accept it half way through a contract. GG piggy back on the O2 network, so I guess it won't be long as you said.

I'm seriously considering a Simplicity 12 month contract with 750MB as this will serve my requirements nicely.

I thought if your contract terms were changed in a way that disadvantages you, you had the chance to cancel, so a good way to get that new phone for cheap?

Nationwide removed this because people were opening up FlexAccounts for no reason other than using the card abroad. These people were costing Nationwide money.

GiffGaff will cut the unlimited data as soon as it's no longer viable to provide an unlimited service. i.e. If people start really taking the ****!

Think the escaping from contracts is generally only if you've been proven to have used more then the new limit though - so if you only used say 10MB a month then they wouldn't accept complaints about a cap going from unlimited to 500MB.

I've been with Giffgaff since my o2 contract expired a few months ago. It's been good for me, only problem was the network wide blackout on chargeable things (calls/texts etc) for one afternoon/evening. Other than that it's been great
  • Im mainly a texter so the £5 unlimited text goodybag does me fine. Might try the hokey cokey one next, but for the amount of calls I make, I may as well just pay for them!
  • i'd like to bump this to say i just moved from orange to giffgaff (unlocked cpw nokia 5800 phone) and it was very fast to activate tho i've seen others have a bit of a hairy mary over it.

    i know i'm a new user but i'm not a shill

if you go on the forums and get a sim by user referral they give you £5 for free
